JGSTAY - Soho

I wouldn’t stay again. I guess you get what you pay for but still should be better. The air conditioner was loud and barely did anything in a tiny room. The towels were tiny and there was nowhere to hang them.

The front door security was excellent. It’s a busy area. The entire hotel and facilities were immaculate. A great location and nice breakfast/coffee room. Highly recommend. 0000

The staff seemed cold. Provided no cleaning service for 3 nights stay and have to request for fresh towels case by case bases. The double room is super small for family of 4 and the TV is tiny!

Friendly None

Location is great, checkin is easy. Wifi was quite unreliable. Fresh sheets at some point in my weeklong stay would have been nice.

Exceptional

The room is very small and there is no cleaning service, I needed to ask them to change the towels. Also, the front desk is not friendly at all and I needed to keep my bags at the hotel, they charged me extra for that which I have never experienced in any other hotel. Do not recommend at all! Not returning.

Pleasant

Very small, but it worked well for us as we were only there for one night. We did see one bug in our room, so we kept our bags zipped and up off of the floor.

The room was adequate. Clean and well maintained. Very small space with handmade wooden box furniture. Fine for a night or two.

Smack dab in the middle of SOHO/China Town. Steps from the Subway -- less than an hour to Harlem/Midtown/Brooklyn. Great walks in all directions.

Very accessible to subway station.

Disappointing

It wasn’t bad, close to canal and soho , little sketchy people outside but close to train. Food options galore in neighborhood. Room was small, AC was great. Not enough desk space to work but I managed. Don’t think I’ll stay again for the price.

The room was fine. Beds were comfortable, but there was a very strong air freshener scent that caused me to develop a head ache. Room was very noisy due to the street noise outside, but that’s to be expected. We left a pair of Bose EarPods behind after check out and knew exactly where in the room they were left. We called the hotel a few hours after checking out to ask them to send them back to us and they claimed to have not found them. Follow up emails about it have gone unanswered. Our mistake for forgetting them, but someone at the hotel stole our EarPods.

The hotel was nice, clean and secure. It reminds me of a boutique type hotel. It was remodeled with some attractive features. The staff was nice and helpful. It’s right at the intersection of the famous Canal street, Chinatown and Little Italy. The hotel room was small but workable and what’s expected for apts and hotel rooms in New York. They provided a nice simple breakfast that was good. I will stay there again. I would consider this one of my go to stays for lower east side. Thanks for your hospitality!

Todo muy bien

The area is great. You’ll have to sacrifice room size for convenience but you’re so close to everything. Brooklyn bridge is a 15min walk and plenty of subway stations all around.
