Burrendale Hotel Country Club & Spa

We liked the location and the hotel staff were helpful and the hotel itself was well decorated and comfortable.

Breakfast was good, but service was a bit slow. Had to remind the waiter about our coffee and milk.. service was slow at lunchtime too, maybe understaffed. Entertainment Thursday night was great, thanks to Jimmy McVeigh. noise from the traffic at night. Room is very warm and I think the duvet needed changing to a summer weight one.

Spacious room, reasonably comfortable bed, free toiletries, good quality, comfortable bed linens, nice fluffy towels, excellent breakfast menu, very friendly helpful staff, clean and tidy Breakfast service didnt start until eight in the morning. A small refrigerator would have been good, Disappointed no air con in bedroom

The spa treatments are very good. The food was very tasty. The bar staff and restaurant staff are very slow. It let the whole experience down. At one stage there were four people waiting to be served at the bar and the guy behind the bar thought it was more of a priority to stack the fridge shelves instead of serving. There was a young lady who looked after us only because she noticed that other people who arrived later were getting their food before us. I think her name was Laura. She was very good to us.

It’s was very warm and comfortable The noisiest corridor. Rooms weren’t very private. Always foot traffic going past.
