Location and breakfast lived up to expectation. Booked a kind superior room. Nothing superior about it. Looked out onto a little courtyard where waste handling was done. Noisy, terrible view from the window. Senior staff were friendly but most were young and unexperienced and unattentative. Beautiful warm weather was enjoyable but with no airconditioning in the room a serious let down. Cleanliness of the room was okay-ish but restaurant, bar etc. rather poor. Tables not cleaned frequently, chairs dirty and overall clearly not deep cleaned for a while.

Ease of access to the promenade walk. Meticulous care of the hotel grounds. Bedroom fit-out is excellent. Breakfast fare is excellent. It was exceptionally hot weather during our stay and the AC in the rooms did not cope with that. Better system controls are required to eliminate insect intrusions to the building, especially in the dining room.

The facilities and location were amazing We didn’t have any robes in the room and we had to call the reception. After one hour waiting, we called again. Passed 15 minutes and we asked for the person cleaning the room beside us to get us a robe which was promptly done.

Location was right near Newcastle N. Ireland, a small resort town so I could walk to everything. I've been wanting to stay at the hotel for over 20 years and was finally able to do so - and it did not disappoint.

Gorgeous hotel situated in the middle of mountains, excellent scenery, close walk to main town. Staff were very friendly, great options for breakfast The rooms felt a little bit dated but still nice. Very expensive to stay here but this is standard for a luxurious Irish hotel

Lovely room, beautiful views, comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, made use of the spa. The kind card and cupcakes delivered for our anniversary. The seagulls on the windowsill woke us each morning and left their evidence behind.

Atmosphere

Unattentive bar staff in the evening, we sat for 15 mins while one of the staff stood beside us talking to his friends while ourselves and others would have liked to order drinks , needless to say we left the bar without being served.

The rooms, staff and spa The fact my daughter couldn’t join me at the gym and also the persi french was disappointing

Big beautiful room. The amenities and spa was a must do! We loved the pool and sauna, we went twice during our stay. Everyone was lovely, wish we could rent bikes/play tennis but we didnt have enough time. Breakfast was lovely as well, a lot of options and the staff was friendly and attentive.

The area was very quiet and view was beautiful. The staff especially the bartenders were very friendly.

The location is absolutely stunning, the hotel is a marvel also. The staff are very helpful and ensure you have the best possible experience. I recommend everyone to try this place you will become a regular guest undoubtedly. The only issue was the curtains in the junior suite let sunshine in a long the side of them which disturbed sleep earlier than expected
