Staff were all friendly. Lovely breakfast cafe.

Very accommodating staff despite running with few staff people. Breakfast was very good and served outdoors on a porch overlooking the bay.

It was not quite what we expected, being a combination of small bed and breakfast with restaurant(s) and bar. The young men who greeted us were very helpful and carried our heavy bags up the stairs to our room. The meal that evening in the hotel restaurant was outstanding. We had the mussels for an appetizer and they were prepared using samphire, something new to us and delicious. The main courses were similarly tasty, pretty and well prepared and served. Nothing they could do about the stairs, but without the 2 employees, we couldn't have gotten our luggage up. Strangely, the next morning there were NO employees anywhere to ask for help with luggage. The bar and restaurant were accessible, but there were no people. (You could have helped yourself to a few drinks!). We ate in the attached breakfast place connected by several halls that we located happily and accidentally. The breakfast came with the room. I finally found someone who brought our bags down. Maybe someone couldn't make it to work that morning?

Located right above a bar so a little loud, but not terrible.

Location a bit out of town but perfect for Donard Park start of route up Mourne mountains, whose highest point is Slieve Donard, 853m, about 2hs walk. I really appreciated the sunny and sheltered terasse Après Slieve. If you seek keen friendly staff, home cooking, and an unique style, it's the place. Breakfast is at the attached café, the main hotel being closed in the morning. As explained to me, it is a privately run old building with rooms upstairs converted to hotel bedrooms. There is no lift, in case you have a VERY heavy bag (otherwise, go one step at a time, there's only one floor), and my room did not have anywhere suitable to set up my PC. That's just how it is.

Location was brilliant. Right beside the beach.

Our room faced the ocean and had a small balcony with windows that opened fully so we could listen to the ocean all night. The room was a bit pricey with conversion fees, but such is life. It was a last minute booking for us and for how comfortable and clean everything was, it was worth the price. Plus there's a cafe downstairs with the best complimentary breakfast downstairs and the restaurant/bar below is also very cozy and decent food for dinner. It is on the edge of town so it takes about 15 minutes of walking to get to other restaurants and bars more downtown, but the walk is all along the ocean, so no complaints! The staff was super friendly and helpful. we loved this stay and would highly recommend and definitely book again! There wasn't really anything we didn't like. It was a bit pricier than we expected because we just kind of forgot about pound conversion rates (instead of euro) but that's our own fault. As I said, still worth the money!

The room was really nice, comfortable bed & the shower was cool.? We knew the bar had live music going in..,but, it truly made sleeping difficult.
-
Excellent breakfast and location Be aware there's a bar under all of the rooms and the front rooms are on a busy road ,so noise is a factor at night when going to sleep.

Room with a view was beautiful and the heart shaped towels with rose petals was a great touch. Food was also amazing ? I didn’t like the fact we couldn’t check in until 4 pm ? Considering we had to check out at 11 am ?
