Renovated room and all utilities worked. Decent mattress, no bugs. Very noisy due to hwy at 30ft. Cars and bikes gunning it 24/7.

The rates. I don't understand why they are so high in Newport News Virginia. I know this property because it was once Thrift inn & I worked as desk clerk for Thrift Inn Williamsburg. Thrift Inn was always best price in town. . For the appearance, room size and minimal accommodations Express Inn needs to be reasonably bargain priced. The hotels on Coliseum Drive in Hampton are through the roof and, nothing happening in Hampton. Express Inn is at the Hampton line. If the prices were more reasonable, he could pull a really good crowd. If every room filled up, this property could make a killing with bargain rates.

Nothing It was in a bad area, the rooms where not clean, the staff was not friendly. There was homeless and people even offering my husband drugs.

Had a lady help me find my room which was nice. Our room was decent, no bugs or anything suspicious. Only problem was some dried pee stains on the floor of the toilet. For a last minute booking, this was good. Area felt safe too compared to others I’ve been too.

I like how friendly the staff is honestly and how close the shops are across the street

They need to change the curtain cause they have the room stinking

Very nice the new paint is a nice touch ^-^ nice and cheap loved the place thank you for the stay.

The location was kinda getto. I never felt threatened, but I was always careful to lock my car.

Lots of road noise all night so the area is loud. The outside is a little run down but the rooms are like new and super clean.

Shower head was strong Water was hot Not too much noise Parking was tight and small Rooms weren’t clean to full ability Room smelled closed in and old Bedding looked dirty and old Bathroom VERY VERY small Wifi wouldn’t work Light was blown

This place should be shut down immediately, extremely nasty with stained sheets abd walls, burnt wholes on everything absolutely degusting. False advertising and was unable to stay there so we cut our trip shot and drove 3hrrs back home.
