Excellent location just a 2-minute walk from the city center. The tram stop is 2 minutes away, and the beach can be reached in about 10 minutes. The train station is directly across from the hotel, making day trips to Eze, Monaco, Antibes, and Cannes very convenient. The room was clean but a bit outdated, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The only downside was the very poor Wi-Fi connection. The only downside was the very poor Wi-Fi connection.

I would like to have a small fridge for cold water and to keep some food. Also there was a smell in the room perhaps because it's an old building.

Good location Not great breakfast

The breakfast was also very disappointing. I was served only tea, jam, and Nutella—without any bread, croissant, or anything else to eat, which made no sense. The only positive aspect of this hotel is its location.

While it is very conveniently located next to Gare Nice Ville, according to one of my tour guides, it is never safe to stay next to a train station in France. The only positives I can speak of was the provision of an AC, running hot water in the shower and cleaning/fresh towels provided daily, though the towels appeared frayed. I was shocked at the quality of this hotel. I did not feel safe staying here. There were no elevators, and my room was on the fourth floor. There was a persistent smell of sewer pipes in the bathroom. The man who worked at the front desk was unkind. I accept it was my fault in some ways as I did do my research properly, but this property should not be on booking.com. I would not recommend any female Americans traveling solo (or otherwise) to stay here.

Location ONLY The hotel does not have lift and my room was on 4th floor, so I was out of breath by the time I reached my room. In addition, my room did not have AC and there was a small fan in the room and the WC was outside of the room. Lastly, there was only one socket in the room, so I had to choose between charging my phone and using the fan.

Rooms were clean My first encounter was when I got there. We were two women’s by ourself with 4 luggage’s and no help whatsoever. If somebody with disability go there they cannot manage since you have to go up some stairs and there’s no elevator or ramp. I booked that area because it was close to the train station since I was going to Paris. I asked if somebody could help us the next day to take the luggage since it was not far from the train station, and an Uber or taxi would not take us since it was to close. There was a younger guy later on the shift and we asked if he would help us or knew somebody that could help us and he said yes, but when we got up at 5 o’clock in the morning to leave, he didn’t even bother to help, he opened the door and carry down just one of the four luggage’s, my niece and I were looking at each other like amazed, even though that we told him that we would pay to get help, so really I would never recommend this place to anybody…. No empathy and rude….

Well, I always have a wide tolerance with older hotels, they always have a style and characteristics of their own, it is a change from the modern CAD style of hotels nowadays, So, happy with the design and style of my room. However, my visit lost its appeal with the poor WiFi. It was appalling, actual worse that my recent stay in a Riad in the Medina in Marrakesh. Even, Speedtest.net would not load!!

Fantastic location, very short walk to the train station and a very simple nearly straight brief walk to park areas as you continue your walk to the beach. Very safe and clean area. The Express grocery on the way to the sea has a variety of items you might need as well as food. The room is simple and met our needs. The hot water is very hot so test it to your liking! Nice firm mattress and room heater (it was cool out in March) was perfect. No elevator but they will help bring luggage to the room. Highly recommended. It would be nice if they had an electric tea kettle in the room to heat water.
