We had a lovely stay. The apartment has a very good size and the animals on the grounds (mini donkeys, sheep, horses, dogs) are lovely.

Excellent breakfast. Owner does a wonderful job in helping the guests to feel welcome. Room was spotless clean, spaceous and comfortable. Great location for those who love horses, domestic animals and nature. If you want peace and quiet, this location has them both! Yet, you require your own transport. About 10 minutes drive to/from Nieuwpoort. Thinner pillows may have been better. Bed was comfortable. Yet, as it a foam mattress, if may be uncomfortable for some guests who suffer from back pain.

My wife and I stayed at B/B Koolhof on our way to Germany the the guest house was very clean and comfortable in a lovely rural setting not far from the motorway, the host Caroline was extremely helpful would definitely stay again.

Beautiful room, excellent bed, nice terras next to the pond, super tasty breakfast (especially the home made jams). It is fun to walk passed the horses in the stables. Very quiet. Would recommend 100%.

We stayed for two nights, our first trip away in months. Caroline and her husband were very welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was lovely- clean and comfortable with a terrace overlooking a pond complete with ducks. It is right in the heart of the stables with horses, donkeys, llamas, dogs and cats all around- wonderful. There are bike routes everywhere to Nieuwpoort, Diksmuide and other places. A lovely, surprisingly quiet destination, with a lot to do just on your doorstep. Can’t wait for our next visit!
