Kalanan Riverside Resort

Resort was very quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed the privacy, the grounds and facilities Resort was quite difficult to find

Our next door neighbor had a dog(s) with them. He barked all day and all night long constantly out by the pool. I wish that family was placed somewhere away from other guests.

Location from Bangkok a little out of the way, and entering the property is a bit confusing. The beer at the pool is too expensive.

This was a beautiful property! The pool, the restaurant, the rooms.. it felt magical. The staff was also warm and welcoming and it made landing in Bangkok unforgettable. Nothing.

Eatery of the resort is not good and too expensive.

Perfect location if you look for a short getaway trip near Bangkok. It's very peaceful, and makes you feel like you're living in a place back in time. The room is spacious, the breakfast was good enough, and most staffs we met were helpful. We would recommend this place to others, and will come back. The bed was too hard and we can't sleep well. Some staffs we met could have been more services-minded - that's the expectation of a hotel at this standard.

I’m rating this stay subjectively, and from that perspective I have no complaints. I booked it as a one-night stop after landing at DMK on an evening flight, before heading out of Bangkok the next day. The room was spacious and very comfortable, and I rested well. The staff were kind and responsive, they replied quickly to my inquiries via Booking.com messages. There was plenty of parking, the internet was fast, and I was able to do a short Zoom call without any issues. The hotel is about a 30–40 minute drive from DMK Airport and close enough to Bangkok that I could enjoy dinner at my favorite restaurant before heading in. The surrounding area is a typical local Thai neighborhood, but once you enter the resort it feels like stepping into a different world. For my purpose, I really enjoyed staying here, and it was a good decision that was worth every baht.

Resort has a beautiful setting with pretty gardens on a river front property.

It was peaceful retreat from the busy city life. The room was clean and quiet. There were several areas to explore on the property and we really enjoyed the evening restaurant on the river with live music. We also really enjoyed the restaurant for lunch next door with several Michelin stars. The breakfast buffet was good but not great. I think there could be room for improvement with more western food choices and/or a signature ‘speciality’.

Beautiful property with lots of space to relax outside at the second floor pool. The breakfast was delicious and had something for everyone. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was without hot water for 24hours after a power outage as well as had a significant leak from the sink, even after we asked to have it fixed. Room amenities were sparse compared to other family members’ rooms and the few we had were not replaced as they were used up.

We booked a private pool villa and loved the Decor , comfortable furniture, large suite of rooms,pool was good size but could have used a bit of garden greenery.

The location is perfect for relaxing by the river. Beautifully laid out and surrounded by greenery and nature. Always interesting watching the river life and traffic as well as enjoying sunsets. The food is adequate, but the atmosphere more than makes up for any perceived lacks. Lovely staff too. Prices were reasonable at the time of year we travelled. It's shabby in some areas, after COVID closure, so very understandable. They are undertaking large renovations which should restore it to its former glory.

I love the overall atmosphere and the breakfast. They have quite a variety of breakfast choices. Sour-dough bread was also available. The staff are very attentive and having a great service mind. Thank Khun Pat, and Khun Vit at the breakfast venue for taking care of my elderly parents so well, and Khun Pear at the front counter for her prompt assistance and good gesture in dealing with challenging questions from clients. It's not what I particularly didn't like. Just my humble suggestion that the antique, memorabilia items/objects displayed around the hotel should have some descriptions. It would be interesting way for the guests to learn Thai history through those objects.

Clean and comfort ,quiet, relaxing, most of staff were welcoming, very beautiful views Very bad check in is the worst thing any one aspects ,front desk who doesn't know to talk and choose his words, we explain that we can't walk upstairs 3 floors, the person refused to change the room to lower floor or elevator room ,next day from desk person in second changed to ground floor room.,this resort is far from patong beach and every thing,
