Very friendly staff

All very nice, very nice room, would definitely recommend !

After a long journey, the room was a welcome place to rest. Our luggage did not arrive with us, but the staff was able to provide some basics until our luggage was reunited with us. Breakfast was superior, with many choices of breads, cheeses, muesli, yogurts, condiments and machine coffee. We arrived by taxi on arrival in the city, and then used the underground for our remaining time in Hamburg. The subway was located about a 5 minute walk, most of which was through a beautiful park.

Nice room - comfortable and well-sized, decent fitness room for a hotel and a nice sauna area (we did not have breakfast included, so I cannot comment on that) The experience with staff was very mixed. The - as it turns out new - staff member was fairly impolite, annoyed, not open to reasonable requests (warming up the sauna and calling politely and timely so this would not interfere with the end of reception hours) and with her demeanor indicating she wants her shift to end (stressing the time she gets off multiple times). While it was 25.12 in the afternoon - so holiday time - where I understand that one may want to rather be home than at work, I do believe it is still important to be polite and professional to guests while being at work as it is the guests' holiday too. The second staff member (on the morning of the 26.12) was very polite, professional, warm and apologized for the first staff members behavior and promised that this will not happen again and that there will be consequences for the first encounter. It is on account of the second staff member (thanks again!), that we still give an overall rating of 7 (it would have otherwise been substantially lower given the upsetting check-in encounter). So this will hopefully not repeat for any future guests

Nice beds, smart night lights, friendly staff 1. Someone entered our looked room by mistake just as i was getting ready to shower. That should not be possible. When we came back from breakfast the next morning our room card has stopped working, so it seems like the card system the hotel uses is not the most reliable. 2. The shower smelled like sewage. 3. While the eggs and bacon at the breakfast were good, the pancakes were dry and the danish rolls were doughy. 4. We stayed in room 105. There's a cupboard over the fridge that has a very sharp corner that sticks out into the room, my boyfriend (while being sober and fully awake) hit his head on it resulting in 2 serious cuts of a size that would justify stitches. While this obviously wasn't the cupboard's fault it feels like something that shouldn't be as easy to achieve, corner protectors are cheap.

Very comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Friendly staff. Very quiet. Great location. Automatic bedside lights that come on at floor level when getting out of bed during the night.

Excellent location near the Train/ SBahn station. Shopping & great café/ bakery nearby, nice quiet park area to walk. Room & bathroom size were very good& windows that open. Lobby area also nice size & well furnished. Didn't try breakfast. Quiet. Travelled with my aunt, so happy to be able to separate the beds far apart! Clean bedroom& other areas including bathroom EXCEPT for bottom of shower where glass walls meet floor. Beds a little too soft, but new/ not worn out.I prefer firmer mattress. Base of shower quite moldy where glass meets tile ( siliconed). Instant coffee not tasty.
