Best Western Ocean Sands Beach Resort

The best part of this hotel was that it’s beachside! The pictures on the website are not how the rooms actually look inside smh! They’d do a lot better if they were honest about how the room’s actually look inside! The fact that I set up my reservation online with the intent to pay at the hotel (no prepayment) and the hotel kept trying to charge my card for a deposit baffled me. When I called I was told I had to make a deposit to hold the rooms. I was under the impression that no prepayment and pay at check in meant just that! All in all we had to make do with what we had! My grandchildren enjoyed the beach but, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, unless it was a last resort!

Breakfast was crowded. Tiki bar hours not consistent. More live music. Music was only Saturday.

The office staff could not have been more helpful or efficient. My main complaint with housekeeping was how noisy it was every day. Not with duties or vacuums, but with shouting from one end of the hall to the other. The hotel was the perfect distance to the ocean. We did not eat the breakfast, but I'm sure it was delicious. It would've been nice to have had access to hot dogs or something easy for lunch. The tiki bars drinks were delicious and the bartender was very nice. I was disappointed in the size of the pools, but they were very clean and having access to the pool area until 10 at night was very nice . Having a handicap tag helped with parking availability. We definitely would stay there again.

Friendly staff and clean beachfront hotel

The breakfast in the morning was very convenient and good. The staff were very friendly. The hotel itself could use a lot of maintenance and upkeep. Our stove was dented in and many things were broken and needed repair. Our phone in our room didn’t work.

We stayed in an ADA room, which we did not ask for there was no countertop space in the bathroom. The stairwells were nasty. We had to wait after check-in time in order to actually check in not pleased with the experience at all.

Rooms and property are dirty, beyond what is to be expected at a beachfront hotel. Calling this a “resort” is a joke, the pools are tiny and the tiki bar is disgusting and full of mold. Staff was kind helpful during checking in and out.

We took a quick spring break trip. This was a surprisingly wonderful hotel, especially for the price in comparison to the other hotels in the area.

The Blue Horizon proves you don’t need a sterile 20-story high-rise to have a world-class beach vacation. ​Can't wait to come back next summer!
