Atii Garden Bungalows

Atii Garden is a beautiful and cosy accommodation in Nungwi. It was a 5 min walk from one of the main beaches and we really enjoyed our stay. Garden was absolutely beautiful, room was comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was served in another hotel, 3 minute walk from where we were. It was served buffet-style on a beautiful terrace, which we greatly enjoyed. Our expectations for the accommodation were fully met. Staff was at times overly pointed, so we felt less welcomed than in our other stays in Zanzibar. In addition, after requesting a payment by card we were sent a payment link by email. This felt a bit strange and somewhat unsafe. It turned out (talking to booking customer service) that it was a standard payment for Atii Garden accommodation, but we did not like that it came as a surprise for us. Looking back on the pre-arrival conversation, payment by link was indeed mentioned as an option, but it wasn't clear that it is a mandatory method for any payment by card.

Nice if you want to be around the town, but no exceptional/really good beach nearby.

The breakfast was phenomenal! The staff were professional and helpful throughout our stay! My partner and I enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Atii Gardens is a lovely haven in Nungwi set back from the beach in the village area. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we especially loved the breakfast. We also had use of a sister hotel’s pool and beach club which was an unexpected bonus. We could also fill up our water bottles from the hotel water cooler. A little dusty, but the rooms are cleaned every day. We had a room with an outside bathroom, it rained during the night and dirty water ran off over our toiletries, so put them under the overhead cover, we did love showering outside though and would choose this room again.

The place is a tranquil heaven in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Nungwi. It is very centrally located close to all the major attractions and beach. Lovely big and clean rooms, amazing staff.

Good choice and quality for breakfast, not beach front but really close, large room and bathroom with nice terrace, good value for money considering the location and peak season The free beach in the description is actually not nearby (only 15min walking anyhow), communication/ understanding with the staff is sometimes not smooth (yet they are super polite). A bit noisy sometimes

Great location, helpful staff, amazing breakfast Just had a small incident at the start of our stay where a member of staff failed to tell us that breakfast wasn't included on the first day of our stay despite us talking about it loudly and openly in front of her. We were then charged $65 after we had been eaten and in all honestly it felt quite sneaky on her part. We had a great stay but it did leave a bad taste in our mouth

Outdoor shower, the space, the patio with a hammock, nice garden area to enjoy breakfast, good breakfast.

Great rooms - immaculate and well decorated - beautiful setting. Friendly and helpful staff - sorted out everything I needed! Wonderful morning breakfast and endless coffee! Excellent location - near multitude of beaches! Check out the MJ cafe - great food and super cheap! Watermelon juice is epic! Nothing!

This place was like a secret garden for us. We felt so at home here. Gil, the owner, is super kind, gave us many valuable tips, and even showed us his permaculture farm. The bungalow was beautifully decorated and spacious, and we loved the outside shower. The staff was particularly attentive to our needs and remembered our preferences for each meal and aspect in the bungalow. This made it extra special. Thanks again to Gil and his team for this wonderful stay.

Amazing natural environment. Having breakfast in the courtyard surrounded by tropical trees was great! Wifi connection unstable.

Perfect location in great part of Nungwi for beach and restaurants. Leafy, cool and quiet accommodation with beautiful outdoor bathroom. Delicious breakfast. No parking on site and nearby car park now charges TS 10,000 per day (no longer free as stated on booking com).
