The room and bathroom was clean. Room is not big, but it met my expectations considering the price I paid for the stay. I travelled alone and it was just me there for the first days when I arrived. The hosts however are super friendly so that made up for the lack of people, one of them even offered to show me around Nungwi - which I of course thankfully accepted! The kitchen was clean and well equiped, they have a very nice rooftop with view over the village and a pretty good sunset! The hostel is located on the main street, and as others have mentioned it can be a bit loud. Personally I don't have a problem with that, but if you require it to be silent then it can be an issue. Safety wise I walked alone up and down the main steet at night a couple of times (not too far) and didn't feel unsafe as there are lots of poeple and most of them are friendly - I would probably not walk alone around in the village at night. During the day I walked everywhere, sometimes alone, but didn't feel unsafe anywhere. I don't have anything to complain about, everything was as expected from when I booked. The Wifi was down when I arrived, but that was fixed within the next day. Could maybe have mosquito nets over the bed, but not a big problem for me.

This place is super affordable, with all the equipment you need, shared kitchen with all the stuff, rooftop where you can easily do barbecue, village view included! Housekeeping working of course in africa mode, the room was kinda... I would say not clean enough, but nothing serious:) Also the noise at night is terrible, i guess it depends on the position of the room you have. Bodaboda station was just in front of the door.

Great value for money, cheapest place we found in Zanzibar. The shared kitchen is spotless with good cooking utensils. Room is basic but very comfortable for what you are paying. It's in the heart of the town, chill on the rooftop and just watch the local life, it's brilliant! Plenty of cheap food stalls around as well We loved our stay! People are leaving bad reviews and expecting the Ritz for the price they are paying. We loved our stay!

Incredible value for money. Sulttan the owner is super accommodating and helpful, also extremely responsive. You get a village experience, with local restaurants and fresh produce stalls all around, with the luxury of beachfront Nungwi just a 5-7 minute walk away. Can watch both sunrise and sunset from the hostel balcony. Cooking facilities are always a plus and private room hostels are the best kind! The rooms are clean, comfortable, quiet and have everything you need. I’d call it centrally located as well and easily accessible via dala dala as it’s on the main road. Shared cooking spaces can be messy but there is a lady who cleans, Meena. She’s lovely. The balcony is a work in progress but if you’re fine with rustic and you’re a chilled traveller, you’ll love its views all the same.

We had our own bathroom, the place was clean and there is a nice kitchen equipped with everything you need. Even a blender! They are next to the best restaurant in Nungwi ( King’s restaurant). The street is noisy at night but it’s not the property’s fault.

Location is a bit far It’s far away from the airport and from the ferry station

Sultan was just an amazing host, friendly, helpful and ready to assist whenever necessary. We also did a couple of tours with him and we were satisfied. Thank you Sulran

The room is clean and there is a kitchen and a nice roof top area. Unfortunately I had problems with the key opening the door many times. Room name „Sulman“. The guesthouse is right next to the main road and there for very noisy. You won’t sleep longer than 6 am due to the motorcycles. The shower also didn’t get hot.
