    Our flight was delayed from 5:35PM, Dallas to Chicago, now set to arrive at 11:21PM. After reading Hilton's check-in policy of before midnight, I decided to call and confirm our arrival, as it would be after midnight to taxi from the airport to the hotel. The attendant said it would be ok, and to check in as normal. Great. Of course, we get there and get checked-in and given a keycard. We get to the room and its a double queen. Issue is, I "reserved", (as in made a reservation and paid for), a King Room with city view which costs more. I immediately called the front desk, just knowing there was a mistake. She, in turns tells me that our reservation was given away as its first come, first serve. Seriously? So what was the use of making a reservation if someone that arrives first, can just take? With the hotel being fully booked, I was simply left to deal with what they did. Thanks Hilton Staff - professional accommodations.

    Nice enough room. Prices were jacked up due to World Cup. Reserved a 2x queen room for 3 people several weeks in advance, notified staff we would be a late check-in, and still gave away our room. Gave us a king and a roll away with no bedding (took 20 mins to get it to our room), and staff at check in said they had "a lot going on today", and acted like us not having our room was the least of their problems. Comped us with a breakfast "buffet". It was NOT a buffet, it was a continental breakfast that would have been free in most hotels.
