The best part of the city, according to our friend who is a local. I was part of a group that rented out the entire hotel, and we had a great experience. Very helpful staff, flexible, and great rooftop area and rooms. The views from the roof are amazing. Be aware that some rooms are much better than others (since I got to see them all) -- the rooms with balconies are much much better. It's a great place, one block away from the BEST bakery.... Corasan bakery. Room 2 & 3 are probably the worst, as far as views go (a window looking at a wall). But you can't have every room be fantastic....

The location was excellent, just outside of el centro, but close enough to easily walk. Also, quiet at night. The neighborhood was beautiful and interesting and safe. We parked our car on the street with no problems. The owner was super nice. The bed was extremely comfortable with the best pillows I’ve seen in Mexico. Good air conditioning. Room was simple and not big. Hot water was variable: sometimes really hot, sometimes lukewarm.

We really loved the room and the service. We received wonderful recommendations for the city, and everything was done with a smile and a genuine willingness to help and make our stay easier. An excellent hotel with a lovely staff. Highly recommended!

We had an amazing stay at Casa Acueducto! Emilio is fantastic, incredibly kind and available. The rooms are very cosy and clean. The terrace is a great perk. The hotel is located slightly outside of the busy streets of the city centre but all the necessary amenities are close by. The walk to get downtown is just lovely.

The location is away from the central area in a cute, less touristy neighborhood to get away from things a little, but only a short walk when you want to get in. Lovely cafes and restaurants nearby, and the owners can provide a nice list of their recommendations. Our street facing room was a little loud at times.

The manager, Eduardo I think, was great. Tried to help in every way. If you book this as a boutique 4 star hotel, as I did, you will be disappointed. This is more of a hostel than a hotel. We got 2 rooms that were literally next to the reception so everyone had to pass by going in and out. They were also without daylight and felt like being in a basement. On the second day, our bedroom got flooded with sewage from the bathroom drains and the rooms were stinking after that. Reading the reviews I thought that the location was right in the centre of Oaxaca, its not. Its in a nice area but a good 20-25 minute walk to the interesting parts of the city. Loved Oaxaca but would not stay here again.

This little gem is in a wonderful historical and cultural walking neighborhood, Xochilmilco. The room was small but perfect for our family of three. We enjoyed having coffee in the morning on the rooftop. We were on our way to a café recommended for breakfast when staff member, Roberto, met us in the street with fresh pastries he had purchased for our family. Super nice! After breakfast, we ran into him again and he offered to give us a walking tour of the neighborhood. We expected him to show us a couple of nearby murals, but instead he walked around with us for 45 minutes. Comfortable beds and sheets. Colorful neighborhood. Photo taken from rooftop.

The coffee offered was not good. I ended up using instant coffee I had brought with me.

We felt at home thanks to the amazing owners & staff! Ricardo really treated us like family & we couldn’t imagine our trip without him. Unique, historic, local neighborhood & very walkable & safe! Comfortable beds! The thoughtful rooftop & balcony are lovely common areas to spread out & enjoy the fresh air. Highly recommend staying here during your visit to Oaxaca! If we could give more than 10 stars we would!!

we really enjoyed the friendly owners who were so very helpful. Also, the property is updated and very well done. We loved having morning coffee, prepared as well as ice and a water station. While we did not use the hot tub, we did go up to the upper deck twice. The item such as bath towels are up excellent quality as are the bath products. The AC was fantastic as was the room service. we were not crazy about the location of the property. It is too far away from everything you wanted to get to. It took us 45 minutes of walking whenever we wanted to go to the center. Also, there were only a couple of restaurants nearby. Lastly, we had dogs barking at night and neighbor noise if you kept the window open.

Partner was injured and the staff did all they could to accommodate us.

hotel. The road facing de hotel can be very busy at times.

Very clean, quiet and comfortable. Easy walk or taxi to the center of towns, restaurants, cafes. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Loved the keyless code entry to the place and to your room. 24/7 free water and coffee available to you. It really felt like home there! The pillows weren’t as comfortable (but that’s just to my liking), there was a little bit of street noise (this did not bother me). Otherwise a great stay!

The only thing I didn't like was that the window in my room could not open and faced brick (a little claustrophobic), but there was a small terrace across the hall.

The location is excellent, staff members are very kind, and it is always clean. It locks a no-smoking common space. It was difficult to enjoy the Terrazas with people outside smoking. I spent most of my time in my room.

This was a lovely boutique hotel. The staff is so thoughtful and courteous. There is also rooftop access, which is perfect for enjoying your morning coffee. The property is very clean. It's walking distance from central Oaxaca city, but it's far enough from the craziness that you can enjoy a quite night's sleep. I liked everything. I have no complaints.
