OMG…where to start? This place is incredible!!!! We’ve driven all over Scotland and stayed at several top rated hotels none of which, can begin to hold a candle to Loch Melfort Hotel. First, the location and the views are absolutely world class. The sea view rooms are just spectacular with very comfortable beds, chairs, etc. but again, it’s all about the views. Restaurant was beautiful and every meal was perfect. Don’t miss visiting the garden next door or petting Dougal, the hotel Highland cow. He’s very friendly and loves a good scratch. This has been our favorite stay in Scotland! We liked everything!

Stayed here previously ,never disappointed

Food was amazing and all staff we met were wonderful. Our dog was also made to feel very welcome. Some of the fixtures in the sea view cabins are in need of replacement. A bit of wear and tear showing through.

The setting was beautiful. The breakfast was very good. I loved looking out into the Loch while dining. A bonus was going into the garden next door free. I didn’t Iike that I had to leave!

We loved our 1-night stay at Loch Melfort hotel! It was our holiday “splurge” night and we purchased the 1/2 board - dinner & breakfast - included with our stay. I would definitely recommend this! The food was truly exceptional; the wait staff was attentive; and I wished we had stayed a second night just to try the other dinner choices! We chose a room in the main building and enjoyed the sea view and amenities! We would definitely recommend this hotel and encourage you dine at sunset where you can watch the sky fill with stunning colors on a clear night!

Stellar location and view. Food breakfast and dinner were excellent! It’s view and walking paths.

There was mildew around the windows, and it would be nice to have screens over them so you can open them without bugs getting in...we had a yellow jacket join us. Got it out okay

They were having their water sterilization system serviced so no drinking water in rooms

Location was spectacular No fan. Room stuffy and hot.

The room and view were exceptional. We were not asked if we needed assistance with our luggage

We had a junior suite overlooking the loch that was exceptionally beautiful, spacious, and comfortable.

The location was wonderful and the food was delicious.

Comfortable and quiet room. Amazing views across the lake. Great food. Friendly staff members who allowed us to visit the beautiful garden after hours. Nothing comes to mind.

The property was gorgeous, with fantastic views. The food was some of the best we had on our 3 week long trip. The food and the goats were precious. We loved our stay here, we would stay again Nothing.

The view was unreal, likely the best of our all of our stays so far. It was easy to get to & the beds were comfortable. They even have 3 highland cows & 2 goats on their property that you can go visit :). The rooms are a bit dated and could do with an upgrade. However, it was very clean and comfortable.
