Rooms were clean. Bed was ok. We were extremely disappointed with our stay at the Abalonia Inn. Given the price and the way this property is presented as a higher-end accommodation, the condition of the property and the response from management were unacceptable. Our concerns included: * **Visible mold in and around the air-conditioning unit**, extending up the wall in our room. * **Cracked and missing tiles around the pool**, leaving exposed cement and areas clearly in need of repair. * **Poor exterior maintenance**, including weeds growing at least a foot high out of the gutters on the main building, clearly visible from the pool area. * **A hot tub with a broken heater**, making it unusable as intended. * **Wi-Fi/internet that did not work in Room 24**, despite the room being directly across from the reception area. ***What made the experience even more disappointing was management's response. We spoke directly with the property manager about these issues. Rather than acknowledging our concerns or apologizing, he blamed the Wi-Fi problems on the local internet provider and said there was nothing he could do about the slow service. He also attributed the hot tub problem to children using it. There was no apology, no apparent concern about our experience, and no effort to make things right. For the price we paid, we expected a clean, well-maintained property and responsive customer service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. The photos accompanying this review show the conditions we encountered and speak for themselves. This property is in need of significant attention to maintenance, cleanliness, and guest service before it can reasonably meet the expectations created by its pricing and online presentation.

The location was exceptional. The inn was very charming, decor was of a time ago. The bathroom was large and the shower wonderful. Our host, Ron was very gregarious and welcoming, our cleaning staff was always busy getting it all done. The salt water pool was refreshing during the heat wave over the 4th of July weekend. Nice, modern firepit wirh sitting for 8 people. Overall a more mature group of guests than most places we have been. So close to the action and dining of downtown but easy to slip away from it when you need or want to. Our room was small, but there are many other rooms we haven't seen. done. Fire pit area was also the "smoking" area with no clear segregation. Some folks were smoking cigars right AT the firepit which was a complete turn-off. There were 2 nights we wouldn't sit there because of this. The inn should clearly define a smoking area and enforce it or just ban it altogether.

Loved the location, and the salt water pool & hot tub! The outside seating weren’t clean the still had pollen all over them and the Adirondack chairs were covered in pollen as well. But other than that it was nice. Beds very comfortable and it was quiet.

The location was exceptional. The room was clean and comfortable. The room was small.

The only suggestion I would offer would be room darkening shades on the front of the building as the streetlights are very bright. Otherwise, I have always loved Abalonia.

The room was great! And the location is perfect!

Location- 10/10. Could not ask for a better location. You’re on the main road and have access to all shops and restaurants. Busy street- tough to travel by car. We visited places mostly within walking distance for this reason. The room was very very small. Cute but small. The sink was outside of the bathroom, and our door didn’t stay shut unless it was locked. The door would simply fly off the hinges in other words. We also requested to be next to our family and we were separated- on two different floors.

This was my first time staying at the Abalonia Inn, but it won’t be my last. From the moment my friend and I stepped into the office to check in, we felt welcomed! Mark was kind and very accommodating. The location is so close to downtown restaurants, shops, and the beach! The room was inviting and clean. A continental breakfast and afternoon treats with hot apple cider were available with no added cost. I will definitely will be back in the future!
