The Architect's Cave House

The photos are accurate, and the private sunset view was a highlight. The property was generally clean, though the espresso machine had leftover water, we found a centipede inside, and the bed was not very comfortable. Our biggest disappointment was the service with host vendors. Upon arrival, the coordinated transfer dropped us with the wrong porter who transferred to the wrong property, causing delays and confusion. Breakfast on our only full day was delivered to the wrong property, and communication from the host was slow. They provided an explanation and apologized. This was one of the main reasons we chose Booking.com, as breakfast was included in the price. The breakfast was delivered the following day before our departure. On reflection, it wasn’t anything special, and we should have booked without it. Despite these issues, we enjoyed the location, views, and especially the beautiful sunset from just inside the gate, which was a memorable part of our stay. With better communication and coordination, this could have been an excellent stay.

Wow - this was a fairytale and a delight. The suite itself was well designed and comfortable, with a charming little kitchenette. The service was excellent. We were brought a lovely breakfast every morning, with plenty of espresso coffee and fresh towels. The balcony was phenomenal. We would highly recommend the Architect’s Cave House!

The location was perfect in every way. The unit was on a corner hillside with a 225 degrees view overlooking other cave houses and providing a perfect view of the sunset. The staff were all wonderful and very friendly. Our hostess was always attentive to our needs (with a friendly attitude). And she made sure our stay was very comfortable. N/A

It was a wonderful stay. Staff were very friendly, we met at a nearby place and got brought to the stay. Very very beautiful views from each window in the house and it lays at a beautiful location that you have views from both sides. Wish it was my daily home. You can enjoy the sunset from the front and breakfast was truly amazing. They gave you each day to chose your breakfast from a list that you could have variation and try new delicious meals. During our stay the jacuzzi wasn’t really working which we felt a bit sad about as we looked in particular for a stay that had one with a view to enjoy. Thankfully we got lucky that our neighbors left and staff told us that for the last night we could use the one from our neighbors which was very nicely warm and operational. (The outside area is not fully private depending on who books the other apartment. But that was alright.)

Outside view is spectacular and the sunset out of this world, no need of reservation elsewhere. Breakfast was ok. Keep in mind jacuzzi with a view, shares entrance with your neighbors, which translates to a less intimate experience if you are outside of your room. We had a great stay and would definitely consider to come back. Thank you John for your assistance!

Location To sell something where not is real. Coffee machine with no water, hot bath with cold water, breakfast very poor

The view from the cave house was fantastic. A nice short walk to the Main Street of Oia. The mattress on the bed was too soft. The hot tub / jacuzzi water heater was not working.

The location for the views and privacy were excellent! Very unique experience! Kitchen supplies were light but with breakfast delivered and plenty of restaurants to explore for other meals not much else was needed.

The host met us for check in and helped with the bags, which made everything very streamlined

We loved the sunset views outside of the room and how helpful our host, John, was. We did not like that the shower did not have an overhead option. It’s possible we missed that in the description of the accommodations.

The property is amazing! The best place to enjoy the Oia sunset! The light of the hot tub doesn’t work. But it’s doesn’t affect our stay.

Great position with stunning views , not over looked by lots of people as a lot of accommodation can be. Large terrace with 2 sun loungers and built in sofa seating , there is also a table with chairs. The hot tub is very private as covered and a great place to relax and chill. Nothing

- Great location (walking distance from all shops and restaurants) - Semi/Private terrace - Amazing view - Quietness - Helpful and available staff - Good breakfast - Bed wasn’t a real bed, it was small, and the matrice was really uncomfortable - Nice cute hot tub, however : we don’t have the feeling that the water is completely filtered and cleaned especially between two arrivals. Three guests left the suite next door and we haven’t seen any one coming to clean the water before the new ones arrived. Moreover, the paint inside the tub was fading away and every time we used it, it left color marks on our body and swimsuit. - We believe it was too expensive for the comfort that the property and its facilities offered.
