The walls of the rooms are need a bit of refurbishment but this did not spoil our overall stay.

We booked this hotel for a one night stay and we were pleasantly surprised. We didn't think much about it as we just wanted a place to sleep at and seeing that the price was good, we just went for it, not expecting much. +The hotel is located in a pretty quiet area and it's about 8 minutes away from the train station, so you've got easy access to it. + The staff was very kind and helpful. Their English was good, check in was fast and they assisted us with getting our luggage forwarded to the next hotel + The room was spacious enough to not feel cramped and it had all the amenities that you would need. It was very clean, so no issues there. + The beds here were probably the most comfortable that we've had during our 3 week stay here The hotel and the room looked good overall, however, it does show its age and if you pay close attention, you can tell it's dated. You'll see the occasional stain here and there or something that's not in proper condition. In our case, the flushing lever for the toilet was almost broken and loose, but it still did the job. It's not a major complaint though. We weren't bothered by this, especially for a short stay. Considering how much it costs, I think it offers incredible value and would recommend it to anybody who wants to stay in Okayama

The lobby smelled nice like citrus and wood. My room was welcoming and spacious. The hotel is stylish with an attention to style and detail. There are many good restaurants nearby. Breakfast has an excellent variety. There are only two elevators, so get an early start if you're traveling in a big group with large suitcases.

The front desk staff were so patient and helpful as we needed to use luggage forwarding very early the morning of checkout. Everything was so smooth and it made our trip completely seamless.

Exceptional location as this hotel is a street away from the main boulevard that runs from the JR station to the Korakuen Garden and Castle. This same boulevard is also where the beloved tram runs that accepts the IC card. It's also close to the JR station and sits on the boundary of an area filled with a lot of great eateries, izakaya's, pizzerias, okonomiyaki and ramen restaurants, Then in the opposite direction it's close to Korakuen Gardens and Castle and museums. Love the location. Rooms are clean and the breakfast is exceptional. We looked forward to morning buffet although we opted to not have the breakfast included in our daily rate as we paid just under $20 daily per person if we wanted to have the breakfast buffet so we could try places around the hotel. Just keep in mind that many morning breakfast places open up for business at 10 am....unless you head to the JR station, which is only a 15 minute brisk walk away. Nothing I can think of.
