The Edgewater

Overall everything was as advertised

Location was fantastic. LOVED being able to walk to the beach, come back to room and back to the beach. Coffee in the morning was great, just down the stairs. We loved the balcony deck loving over the pool and ocean. The train at 4:30 am! I know no control over that, just hadn't expected it.

The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Even though the motel was busy, the noise at night was minimal. Staff were welcoming and very friendly. Beach access is convenient. The pool is sparkling clean and morning coffee in the office was delicious. I've stayed at the Edgewater many times and it never disappoints. The parking area is small and the spaces are tight for a larger SUV or pick-up. If possible I would travel with my smaller vehicle to avoid the stress of tight parking ! This only impacted my wonderful experience for a few minutes each day because I hate parking, definitely not something that would keep me from staying there or recommending the Edgewater.

It was great location wise & it was very cute & quaint. It was not the best room to put 6 adults with only 2 beds a pull out couch and one bathroom. I had to walk 1 mile every morning to go to Bathroom.

Very convenient access to beach and the pier. Limited seating at pool. We traveled with a teen and a preteen and would definitely stay here again.

The room was bright and clean. Beds were good, but not great. Excellent location right next to the beach. We did not hear any train noise, which I read is a problem at other places. Pool was clean, and had a spot to rinse off your feet. Staff was friendly.

We had a great stay. Very clean room and a very short walk to the beach.

We stayed at the same property last year as well. It’s a great location. Wonderful pool and comfortable rooms. We unfortunately booked it as soon as we left last year and paid $300 more. We assumed we paid for a better room because it was more expensive but it ended up being the exact same room. Which was okay, but we were surprised. What we didn’t like, was how for the whole 5 days we were there, other than bringing us new towels (when we asked) there really wasn’t much more staff involvement. No making the beds, changing of the trash (maybe once they stopped in and grabbed the bathroom garbage but then never replaced the bag, so we had to use the garbage bags we brought), etc..

The location, the cleanliness, the friendly staff, the pool! Just everything was perfect!

Great location, staff were nice and rooms were clean. Bathroom needs some repairs, tub cracked and floor discolored.

Location to the beach and Joe's restaurant next store. Friendly helpful staff in the main office. No battling over parking spaces well thought out. Pretty landscaping and flowers, kept up very well! We were all the way in back towards the street. Lots of children screaming and traffic/street noise plus the train, which I know is going to happen regardless. No foot wash to keep the sand at the beach. Room maintenance could have swept the sand off each day.
