Ramada by Wyndham Ontario

Checked in for 2 nights. After the first night my key card did not work. Front desk set it up for 1 night only. My second day my room was not cleaned. I notified the front desk and they did not seem to care. Shower was super old as well as the lamps which had shades full of stains and an old dresser that had drawers that would not open and close. No closet. No where to hang my clothes. Terrible experience. Not going back again.

It was close to several places to eat. -dirty (ants, dirty sheets we ended up using our own bedding and pillows, dirty pool, dirty air filters that had inches of dust build up we had to clean to properly use the AC) -Room in Disrepair (bottom of the dresser was broken, handles removed from dresser, flooring peeling up, shower in great need of repair,) -zero usable outlets (had to unplug a lamp and the clock to charge our phones, all other plugs where made inaccessible) -promised amenities where false (spa closed due to violations, no laundry service; pictures of the laundry room and the Booking.com that offered it was removed while talking with staff) -Horrible staff attitude (was given attitude about everything and when we stated we where not happy with the condition and the lack of promised amenities where quickly asked “so your checking out now?” Not even a sorry or anything). -filthy pool (We asked twice that day to have to pool cleaned so we could use it. That evening other guests had to clean it them selves and when we brought this up with the staff we where questioned about the names of the guests) -$10 cash deposit and your ID are required to use pool towels, and they do not disclose this at check In. This was after we were told the pool was closed and we pointed out it closed at 9 and it wasn’t yet 9. The guy waved us away and said “well go use it then” and we had to remind him we asked for towels. -Staff where just generally very rude and unhelpful. We were offered another room, but stated if our room was that dirty then all of their rooms are that dirty. When we went to check out we waited 5 minuets at the desk and I had to use the call button several times before someone came, and again no apology just asked what we wanted. In all 0/10 would never recommend this place to anyone. Spend the extra $5-$10 and book a better hotel, even a motel would be an upgrade.

My overall experience at the Ramada by Wyndham in California was a combination of exceptional service and frustrating room limitations. setup and comfort were clear highlights. The bed was amazingly comfortable, which made for excellent sleep every night. The housekeeping staff was consistently friendly and helpful, keeping the room in great shape. Additionally, Peter was exceptionally kind and professional during my interactions with him, bringing a wonderful level of hospitality to the stay. Unfortunately, other aspects of the stay fell short. The breakfast was poor, and the quality of the fruit was particularly disappointing, bringing to mind the visual standard of a third world country. The biggest inconvenience was room storage. There was no closet provided in the room, which meant my clothes had to remain hanging on an ironing board for the entire duration of the trip.
