Picnic Hostel Osaka

They were so kind and welcoming. Rooms and toilets were clean. They let me to left my luggage after chek out which helped me a lot.

The property was great it’s kinda what you expect for a cheap place to sleep but honestly such nice people and way good location Could of been lightly cleaner under the mattresses (bases on previous reviews) we did check and there’s some hairs ect but honestly it was not bad at all and didn’t bug me and my buddies

Close to subway stations, friendly staff. theres a foul smelling urine when the exhaust fan is off in the shower thats inside the room.

Charming setting and convenient location in Osaka. Vibes in the common space were nice and easy for me to setup my bicycle from there. Common area could have been a little bit bigger.

For the price we paid, we weren’t expecting five star but even by hostel standards this place was pretty filthy. The smell, built up grime and thin walls made for an unpleasant stay overall.

It's a good place to meet people, staff is nice and you get to have an individual room. The subway station is less than 5mn away. It gets cold during winter.

Very friendly and helpful staff and good facilities - access to warm drinking water on tap, decent showers and hairdryers Location not particularly exciting, not much in the area - but not so much a concern since there's a metro station reasonably close

Excellent location and the room was pretty fair for the price. The sheets seemed unwashed and the guy at the lobby was very serious. I guess that that unwelcoming behaviour sticks to all the guests as absolutely no one said a hello or a small smile to no one else and we were there for five days. I guess everyone is minding their own business, but Japan being such an educated and kind country, it was silly for that place to be the only place in all our travel so far that it was just not nice. A big turnoff to even think of going back.

Owners are all uncles and very friendly! There’s washing machine and dryer available for use (though you have to pay for it). Kitchen is relatively small but good enough. There’s an elevator so that’s really great! Also, the owner changes the mat outside the shower cubicle everyday, I personally really appreciate that :-)
