Nothing at all, I love everything about this hotel!

We loved it here. The staff were super helpful and the property was great. Really amazing size for a traditional property too. The staff were worried about the small bathroom but that didn't bother us at all. Great towel/amenity packs, kitchenette, dining area. Close to station and great shopping complex as well as supermarket. Nothing - we really liked it here.

Location is good, close to all amenities. AC system is so bad that you will get sick. It wouldn’t stop blowing hot air even if the room temp has reached its desired level. Ryokan is okay for 2-3 days but it’s had to move around in your knees or bend all the time.

Great location and room. Very nice and helpful staff

Convenient location. Clean and comfortable rooms with private bathroom. Easy access to mass transit and airport limo bus. Nice staff.

The location is quite convenient. Not necessarily directly on Namba but close by and also with metro and JR train nearby. There are plenty of very good local restaurants, bars and shops nearby. The staff is not around but reachable via messaging in booking, and they replied quickly (although we only had to plan the arrival time). The beds and pillows weren't the most comfortable ones, but ok to sleep. The room was spacious, but of course, it is important to understand this is japanese style, so bed and seating are on the floor. The bathroom is quite small, but this also is not uncommon in Japan (people should just be aware of it and be comfortable with this choice). There's a good amenity kit provided at arrival and snacks. The cleaning was ok, considering that one goes without shoes from entrance to the room, it could definitely be a bit better. Not sure I would necessarily call it a "ryokan" in the traditional sense, but if one wants to experience the Japanese style rooms this is a good price for it.

great location for nara, mie, kobe trips, accommodating staff, mall and donki very near toilet and bath too small even for asian standards
-
The room is clean and comfy. Appreciate that when we checked-in the room AC is already turned on making the room comfy already. Some free japanese snacks. Train stations are around 6 to 10 mins by walk. Many restaurants, convenience stores and shopping malls are nearby. The staff/host speaks good english and did explain everything about the facilities and rules of the accommodations. The bathroom is a bit smaller than average accommodation in Japan.

We loved Osaka and could have stayed longer. Wafu Ryokan Uehonmachi is conveniently located, quiet and exceptionally clean. We enjoyed the kyokan experience.

Loved it, so quaint they had an amazing massage chair massages even your arms and feet. Rooms had humidifiers and snacks and fragrance humidifier. Staff so fun, they were out shopping when I checked in but came back in like 4 min. I loved it so homey and amazing value and good energy. Also super clean, towels come in brand new bags.

It was a first time experience to stay in a Ryokan No complaints

I loved the authenticity and the location is very convenient only a short 5mn walk to the station. The staff were really helpful and welcoming! We left our luggage at 12pm and when we came back for check in they were already in our room! The room was nice and spacious with everything you need and even a small tea set and snacks. Dotombori is close (30mn walk or you can take the public transports) Such a good experience 10/10 ? Thank you! ? Nothing

Host was very helpful if you can converse in japanese. Helped me book lunch at a restaurant that only accepted phone calls, gave gmaps location of closest amenities. Extremely close to the train station, which also has a small mall. Supermarket and convenience stall barely 5 mins away. Well connected to many areas in Osaka via bus or train. Room had kotatsu, and free snacks and water on start of stay. very homely. Basic amenities are also provided for daily even without room cleaning. Overall comfortable stay Building, equipment and fixtures were generally old, remote control can be non-responsive due to broken battery covers or just plain old. Wall are thin so it gets cold. Host response only via email and booking.com app, front counter had no one after a short wait during check in. Tiny narrow staircase to the guest room floor. Difficult even for someone young to carry their suitcase up and down, much less elderly. Toilet extremely small, had to bend down a lot to use the sink properly. No water mixer for the bathe, troublesome to adjust the water temperature in winter. The corner room had an odd rumbling sound of a machine which also sent small tremors across the floor, made it difficult to sleep that night. Host graciously allowed a room change. Host is only able to speak very basic english.

Super quiet and very accommodating
-
Very close to station and room was very comfortable. Snacks were provided every cleaning. Bathroom was a bit small and stairs leading up to rooms was super narrow. Not really a ryokan but still a decent place for stay.
-
The staff was very friendly and enthusiastic. They clearly work very hard to make a welcoming space for guests. The room was quite comfortable, and they thought ahead to what guests might want or need.

Love the traditional feel and the ability to celebrate Japanese living! Hallways were cold! That’s a super minor issue, though.
