La Sommità Relais & Chateaux

Beautiful design, very clean, comfy rooms, artwork and location. The shower was the best part of the room! The front desk team was excellent as were the shuttle drivers. No windows in room, pool was freezing cold and it’s listed as being a hot tub, but it’s not even lukewarm and too cold to swim. Only one Front of house staff in restaurant was friendly. The bar server and breakfast staff were not very friendly at all.

Beautiful location, gorgeous views. Nothing

We chose this hotel because it is a member of the Relais & Chateau group and because of its location right in the middle of the commune. The hotel exceeded our expectations in almost every way. The staff were first rate - friendly and very accommodating. No request was too small for them. The facilities are warm and inviting and we had a sincere sense that we were immersed in Italian culture when we were there. The food - outstanding in every way. Bottles of water were constantly provided to us throughout our stay and we received a lovely parting gift of two bottles of water as we left. The view is extraordinary from our window and the common areas. There are many to chose from both inside and out. There was nothing of major importance that we did not like about the stay. We would love fewer tourist throngs in the commune's public spaces - but the hotel cannot control tourism in the area. There is a substantial financial penalty if you book a stay, but do not pay up front when you book. Something to consider.

We loved everything about La Sommita! Such a wonderful experience from the moment we are greeted at the parking lot, even before stepping into the hotel to the moment we left! The warmth, the professionalism and the great authentic hospitality of everyone was simply wow! The hotel is beautiful, simple and yet very elegant and charming, and the team helped us in booking the wine tasting, the olive tasting and the bike ride through the olive fields! Make sure to try their massage! So worth it! The breakfast delicious! The highlight of our trip to Puglia! We fell in love with Ostuni and we know for sure that La Sommita was the reason! Thank you! Everything was magical!

The staff were decent and tried to do their best. Location is fantastic. Breakfast was great. The hotel is about to close towards the end of the season, there is no heating and it was very cold. The room we got was very disappointing and not worth its cost.

Room was like a cave, with the bed up some stairs. There was a small window, but it was very high up in the top of the room.

Nice location, friendly staff and comfortable environment

Very friendly and helpful staff . Could not fault any of the people we dealt with. Very clean rooms, linen and comfortable bed. We were upgraded when we arrived which was delightful . The room we were in was large with bed and bath and basin upstairs and bathroom, WC , table and couch downstairs . Cooling system great but we didn’t need it in at night as cooler weather atm. Breakfast was amazing , they had everything and pretty good coffee. We didn’t eat dinner there but it looked nice. We only stayed 2 nights and pre booked some restaurants. We had narrow view all the way to the ocean which was lovely. Parking was organised by the hotel outside the old town for 18€ a day . They kindly shuttled us to the hotel from there and back when we left. There’s a mini bar . If I had to be picky then I’d say there was no tea making facilites .
