Pacifica Beach Hotel

No hot water. Terrible wifi. Thin walls. Room was in a state of disrepair. Holes in the curtains, dirty walls and floors. I checked out early just to get out of there.

Property is a bit old and tired. Tiny shower, blackout curtains only, parking lot was all full when I arrived on Saturday night, some plumbing stuff is not right. Staff are friendly and unique place in good location. Probably won't go back .

I stayed here while construction was going on last year, and honestly, it was a little sketchy at the time. I’m happy to say it’s much nicer now! The location is fantastic—right across the street from the ocean. I had a huge balcony right outside my door, and sitting out there watching the ocean was incredibly peaceful. The bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and overall it was a much more enjoyable stay this time around. It was nice to come back and see how much the place has improved.

The location is gorgeous! The staff are always kind. Close enough to SF! The bathroom had urine in the toilet when we first checked in, not only was our door already opened but it also smelled like cigarettes. It was very noisy outside, and parking was a nightmare.

Very nice sized room, amazing views, close to everything! A+ location !

Over looking the pacific and the beach

There was hair and hair ties on the floor and shelves when we first got into the room. Overall, it was fine. The staff left us alone, and the pool area was clean. But, I'd prefer to stay elsewhere if I were to stay in Pacifica again. (Also, Puerto 27 was fantastic)

Location was excellent Not much parking

Quick and easy check in and out process. Helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful view of the beach and sunset from room, patio, and indoor pool. The room had a great layout. Hot tub was clean and well maintained. Convenient location, shopping center is walking distance with plenty of food places as well as Safeway and a Ross.

Needed to change rooms twice. For such a nice hotel the conditions of the rooms were at a lower quality. Several of the rooms have no view other than the parking lot. Guests were smoking on the balconies or right outside their rooms and the smell came into our room if the sliding door was open.

Great place for the price. I was pleasantly surprised. The views are insane.

The mattress had to be the original mattress, I’ve never experienced a mattress in such poor condition. They didn’t have any other rooms available so at 8:30pm we were on the search for another hotel.

If you can get an ocean view room, that alone makes the stay worthwhile. The property shows it's age in cracks and stains and a slight stale smell. It looks like they are in the process of upgrading\repairing. Parking can be hit\miss as there aren't enough parking spots, the other option is to curb park around/near the property. Bed was clean\comfy. Bathroom toilet was clean. Despite all this it was quiet, I enjoyed sitting on the balcony smelling the ocean, feeling the breeze and drinking my morning and evening coffee. Will stay again.

This hotel was very deceiving from the pictures posted on the site. A big disappointment! It was dirty unkept and dated. We felt very uncomfortable and truthfully wanting to cancel our stay but unfortunately I didn’t pay the extra insurance. The room had window blinds broken slates, windows did not lock, mold visible in floor boards, water damage on walls, an actual shoe print where someone killed a bug which was still there. The furniture was pieced together and no thought on placement. Ex: desk with no lamp. No extra outlets. The outlet next to the door sparked! There was a jacuzzi tub in the room with drain next to the carpet. Gross!!! We would never use! There were electrical issues from the vanity light in the bathroom not working and the bedside alarm clock and lamp not working. The outlet was not accessible.There was a patio with no furniture to sit and enjoy view. Very small indoor pool with strong chlorine smell. No coffee maker. Be prepared to lower your expectations when staying here. I don’t recommend small children staying here since it’s dirty and a hazard. The overall condition was extremely poor.

- I looked past the weird parking on the side of a mountain - I looked past the musty smell in the room due to the jacuzzi in the middle of the room surrounded by carpet - I looked past the TV remote that was basically useless - I looked past the cracked tile, chipped and worn baseboards, walls and countertops - I could not get past getting woke up by the sound of water in the drain pipe of the jacuzzi…every time someone above us showered, flushed a toilet or washed their hands - I could not get past the asthma attack in the middle of the night due to the moldy carpet next to the jacuzzi - I could not get past the cockroach in the bathroom the next morning - I will not get past the lack of a response from the hotel manager, after I left two messages for her. After reviewing the “10/10 Exceptional” reviews, it makes me wonder if these are BOT or AI created.
