Mem Luxury Apartments and Hotel

I love that the property was so close to the beach and there is a restaurant and casual seating even if you decide not to eat. The place was cozy, and the staff was extremely accommodating. The manager Lilly went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. I am pescatarian and the manager accommodated a seafood dinner upon request. Amazing service! Nothing

the owners are my favorite thing about the whole place they made me feel at at home and safe and they were so sweet and the crew were amazing , loved every moment of being there honestly the only thing I didn't like was the big dog from the hotel next to the location and the sound of the construction but I handled it

No parrots, only crows on the trees ) like st home ) jokingly.

Breakfast was good and the kitchen staff did their best to satisfy our requests. The management and staff went our of their way to make sure our needs were attended to. One of our members became unwell and they called the doctor/ambulance/hospital for assistance. Nothing to dislike!

Didn't like the fact that there were no kettles in the room for boiling water and making tea

Great staff! Very welcoming I specially loved the Swahili night where we got to experience the local culture ! Though they failed to inform on the price before but the staff and owner are amazing Small room, perfect for solo travelers

The resort was fabulously looking, the room was big, clean, well equipped and looked like new. The location is great, just 2 minutes walk to the beach, even the road was beautiful. The owner and the stuff are managing this place with great hospitality oriented attitude. I came with a wheelchair and the stuff built me a ramp to room on the spot. They even offered to push me all the way to the beach. Well done Mem!

The staff are very friendly, food is good, value is great, it’s a walking distance from the center of Paje beach activities, room is specious and clean.

The staff were all super friendly, the hotel was super clean and well looked after. Breakfasts were substantial and the staff did try to vary it slightly (we were there for 7 days). Our room was tidied every day and the aircon was a lifesaver! The beach is also a short walk (2-3 mins) away. Alcohol is NOT served at MEM which we did not know prior, we had to go to other hotels/restaurants on the beach all of who had alcohol. We asked if it was because of Ramadan and were informed "No they do not do alcohol at all" (although it is on the menu). The restaurant at the hotel has plenty of options on the menu but only some items are available. There was one day where we messaged the hotel asking if they were doing pizzas and "We could not turn it on today due to rain" (we had been in the area and although it was overcast it wasn't raining). We messaged the restaurant next door and went there because they were doing pizzas.

We had a fantastic holiday here with my family. It was 8 of us. The breakfast was including to our price what was amazing and we had some lunch and dinner as well at the hotel and everything was delicious. The staff was very lovely and helpful. We really enjoyed the pool and beach is beautiful as well. I can recommend this apartments and hotel to everybody because they made our holiday so special and fantastic. We liked everything. It was no fridge in the rooms but we could use the restaurant fridge if we needed.

Great value and very near to the beach where is a huge choice of bars and dinning options Nothing

The staff were absolutely amazing. The location was perfect. It was so clean and modern compared to other places I have stayed in Zanzibar. No faults Nothing :)

Perfect location, a minute from the beach at the best kite surfing place in Zanzibar. It’s good not only if you kite but the atmosphere and the view are amazing. A lot of restaurants and bars just around the corner. The staff was great, so kind and helpful. Very clean rooms, they are cleaning them carefully every day. Nice pool, comfy beds and safe feeling. Very noisy. You can hear everything around from the rooms. The electricity is not very stable, they are using a generator when it’s very bad, you cal always tell them and they are helping and putting it on.

Rooms were clean and practical. Lovely staff, Aisha always wore a nice smile. Not so close to Paje center but a walking distance to the beach front. Terrible power fluctuations throughout my stay. AC couldn’t stay on 30min without going off, not very convenient in the hot February weather.

Nice and clean hotel, also really safe (they have a Security guard). Also really close to the Beach. Everyone was super nice. Had a Great time and can recommend staying there.

Very nice pool, apartment, they also have security. WiFi was working perfect. Pool is really nice and well maintained. It is really luxury place to stay in Paje. Uppon arrival, we Got coconut Milk, and it was really nice. Location is good, 2 minutes to the beach. Breakfast could be more diverse and varied for that kind of luxury accomodationon. Bathroom could be updated/renovated a bit.

Staff are incredibly kind. Pool is magnificent. 2 minute walk to the beach via another hotel (Nest). Secured at all times by very kind security guards. Overall the staff is what makes this hotel great , they were all very kind & helpful. This is in now way a “Luxury” hotel. Bedroom looked like hospital rooms : very basic, white walls and white lights. Curtains that don’t block the sun and air conditioning light that won’t turn off. Breakfast is very poor. Every morning we ate at different times from 7.30 am to 10am and not once was the food warm, it seemed to be last night’s leftovers. Having stayed in different hotels around Paje; this was such a let down. WiFi is the worst we had in all of Zanzibar & Tanzania. They changed the wifi code + provider half way through our stay to a new one and it was just as bad. Did not work 90% of the time. Hotel is located near “tourist” food restaurants : sushi, pizza, burger. Further up Paje beach are the more local places. I wouldn’t class this hotel as luxury. It was more expensive and less quality than other hotels we stayed at in Paje beach.
