BB 22 Palace

Property was centrally located. The rooms were a good size and the staff was very pleasant. I didn’t realize that we were not in the main hotel but in an annex instead. Felt isolated without access to main hotel.

I really appreciated the location, which was central to everything I wanted to walk to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was filling and delicious. Really enjoyed my stay at BB22 Palace and look forward to returning in 2026! Nothing noted.

This review pertains to BB 22 Apartments, not BB 22 Palace. My reservation was for BB 22 Palace; however, there was an issue at BB 22 Palace, so my reservation was moved to BB 22 Apartments. I appreciate that my reservation was maintained, even if at a different BB 22 location. I really enjoyed BB 22 Apartments. My room and bathroom were very nice and the location of BB 22 Apartments was centrally located. The staff of BB 22 Apartments were very friendly and helpful. The included breakfast was an enjoyable way to start the day. What could have been better was to have been made aware of the change of location via email, text or WhatsApp prior to my arrival near BB22 Apartments (Vehicles are not allowed in front of the building, so I was dropped off very close, which is perfectly fine.). It was quite confusing until I rang the bell for BB 22 Apartments to get assistance.

Great historical palace. Fantastic c location. The breakfast was wonderful and the owner and staff were just lovely. They gave wonderful recommendations arranged a car to the airport as well as parking for our rental car. Will definitely stay again if we are back in Palermo. That we only could stay one night.

A couple of missteps in the beginning with the driver they had arranged who took us to the wrong address so we had to walk to the correct location. Once arrived the room was not what we had anticipated but a solution was quickly remedied by our host. The room we were given the next day was spotlessly clean, large, quiet, & located in a popular area. The staff (including the owner & her daughter) went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They were educated on the area & gave us recommendations on places to see, things to do & wonderful restaurants to eat. We loved being able to eat/drink at several wonderful places just right outside our doorstep. The included continental breakfast each morning was fresh, filling & had lots of options. Coffee made to order was delicious. We had a wonderful visit & would highly recommend this facility to anyone wishing to stay in the historical district of Palermo.

We loved our stay and we will be back. The room was lovely, air conditioned, comfortable and the staff is wonderful. Patricia, the owner also lovely. We had great conversations and she was so helpful. My husband has a broken foot and everyone was so kind and caring. Highly recommend!

No hot breakfast- not even an omelette

Wonderful little hotel in an ideal quiet location. The staff could not have been more helpful. Be sure to use the 50 euro transfer service offered by the hotel, as it’s definitely the best way to and from the airport and is a better price than a taxi or other car service. Our room was utterly quiet with a large, modern bathroom.

Top location, friendly staf, nice room The bed is small, 1.90 x 1.40, while it was promoted as a large bed. I’m 1.93, so sleeping was not great, the basic function of a B&B.

This is a slightly odd set up. On Booking.com it appeared to be a small hotel and it wasn’t until after I’d booked and paid and received more details that it became apparent that this is a sort of hybrid Airbnb. It’s basically a flat and each guest gets their own locking room but you share the lounge and kitchen/diner. There’s a very nice terrace to sit out upstairs. You are greeted by warm and friendly staff and they serve breakfast each day and - most unexpected - daily chambermaid service. The trouble for me was that I really hate the model of where you have to sit at the same table to eat with people you’ve never met. Some may love this, but I do not and it made me edgy and uncomfortable. And speaking of uncomfortable, I can’t quite put my finger on why, but the bed was very uncomfortable and neither my husband nor I slept well while we were here. The really big issue for me was that our bedroom had only a roof light and no windows. I found this really claustrophobic. I think other rooms in the apartment had a more normal window set up. However the flat is very centrally located to easy to get around Palermo. The flat is nicely decorated and the huge living room was very comfortable (which unfortunately only served to contrast more with our small cupboard like bedroom). It is certainly good value for money and if you don’t mind the ‘all jolly travellers together’ vibe it may well be right up your street. See above - the uncomfortable mattress and having to share the breakfast table with strangers; also the cupboard bedroom with no windows.

This B&B is located in the heart of Palermo’s historic center. The staff was very attentive and helpful, our room was comfortable and clean, breakfast was wonderful. It was a wonderful experience.
