El Stanza al Genio di Darlon was such a unique place to stay! It housed an artisanal and antique tile museum and each room was decorated with unique, hand-painted tiles on the walls. The location in La Kalsa neighborhood of the historic center was extremely convenienct because so many of the best sites were within walking distance and it was also only a short walk to Palermo Centrale train station. But more than all of that, the staff was exceptional. Our concierge, Giorgia, went above and beyond to help us make arrangements and gave us local tips. The breakfast staff, Andrea & Milana, were SO friendly and helpful. Breakfast on the private terrace was amazing and something we looked forward to every morning. There was nothing we didn't like.

Perfect location and friendly staff. A safe would be helpful.

Large apartment with separate bedroom and large terrace. Washer/dryer combo was a welcomed bonus. Breakfast juices & pastry in the morning with eggs to order. Nothing.

Wow! What a great place to stay in Palermo. Everything was perfect. So beautifully decorated. The room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was so comfortable. The host was so gracious. The breakfast was amazing and so was the breakfast host! And the location was ideal.

This is a truly unique and exceptional place to stay, with the ceramic tiles adorning every wall of every room a real delight. Breakfast was prepared very thoughtfully with our special meal requests taken into consideration. There is a private parking garage around the corner, very convenient to the property. Because it’s a busy nightlife area, there was some noise of late-night revelers from the street below our windows.

Being inside Palermo cultural history, surrounded by ceramics. Perfect attention to detail by the host. Wonderful staff. Khalsa location is great.

Interesting and unusual space with all of the majolica tiles. In the city but large comfortable room. Terrace and sun room for customer use. Very friendly staff. Lovely breakfast with freshly baked cakes. Management is not on site most of the time but can usually be reached if you need assistance. They provide very thorough overview when you check in.

Excellent mattress. In floor heating. Full kitchen. Washer (no dryer). Great breakfast venue. Close parking. Very helpful staff. It is located in a museum which I didn't know beforehand, but was pretty neat. Great location.

This was one of the coolest properties I’ve stayed in. Aside from the design and accolades that every other reviewer has had for this B&B, I have to give compliments on the shower. I live in Italy and there’s a lot of hard water here, which damages my hair. At this property, it felt like the water had been softened and there was no wait time for hot water in the shower. Great job guys :)

The interior furniture and decoration is very well designed and carried out, plus the rich collection of tile brings a high-end and luxury experience ; the breakfast tastes amazing and it was at a beautiful roof terrace ; location is very convenient and also quiet The restroom is detached from the bedroom, you need to walk through a share space to get to the restroom which is a little inconvenient.

Giorgia was wonderfully accommodating and the room was both very beautiful and comfortable.

The place is centrally located, convenient to go to the town center and major sites. The room decor is great, very stylish and unique. The breakfast is not good by Italian standard, in fact the worst I have had in Sicily. The breakfast has limited variety, there doesn't seem to be even equipment for making a proper Capuccino. The booking.com describes the breakfast this place offers "very good breakfast" is certainly misleading and not accurate. This is my major complain, because as a spoiled foreign tourist in Italy, having a good breakfast in the stay is a part of the reason why I chose this place.

It was totally unique and beautiful. It’s a very special jewel in Palermo. Hidden behind an ancient door , through a timeless corridor is an immaculately refurbished apartment that holds all of the most essential comforts. We loved it!!

I loved staying here. The B&B is connected to the fabulous ceramic tile museum and is in the same building. The rooms in the B&B are decorated with ceramic tiles. It is beautiful and unique, The breakfast is outstanding and there is a lovely outdoor terrace where you can eat in nice weather. The staff people are outstanding, There is also a large apartment with its own huge, private rooftop terrace and a large kitchen. It is amazing but no ceramic tiles so I prefer the B&B. It is an easy walk to Piazza Verdi and the centro storico (historic city center). It is very close to the train station. I loved staying here!

Newly renovated property in an old building: renovation as well as furniture were pristine and of very high quality. Breakfast was very good and all food and beverages freshly made A few more lights in the bathroom , especially by the sink: hard to put make up on or to shave
