The Mill Resort & Suites

We are repeat clients. The rooms, pool area and grounds are very clean and well kept. The hotel is perfectly located for us. a 5 minute walk to the beach and a fifteen minute walk to all of the restaurants and bars. On site restaurant and bar were very good.. Full breakfast included in the price. The staff was excellent. Value for money was excellent. No negative comments whatsoever.

Breakfast was good but the staffs couldn't get our orders right. They messed up our omelette orders 3 out of 4 days we were there. Jorick was the worst. really slow and terrible service. The worst hospitality with Marriott I ever been with. Service was terrible. The curly hair bartender girl ignored me and other lady who been trying to get service when it wasn't even busy at the bar and Jose pool boy need more training for service industries and bartending class. I ordered skinny margarita with Jose and I told him only tequila and fresh lime juice but he gave me super sweet margarita and I couldn't drink it so I had to return but he said it was made exactly what I said, I asked him back how he made it, the answer was tequila and margarita mix. How couldn't they know that the margarita mix has so much sugar and very sweet? my order was simple and shouldn't be messed up. I hate to return things or complain about it because I am also in service industry like them but this trip was just horrible. Everything was so wrong since checking in that I didn't want to go to every details. I wanted to join the Aqua Zumba class at 11 so I went to the pool and waited for it. At 11.15 I asked the staff if the class was still going on because it was late, the answer was " it's island time, people don't care about what time it is, you should enjoy your vacation without looking at your time!" I was stunt and wow! Is this how the staff talking to guests?? so unprofessional. During 5 days stay, I tried to avoid contact those people, I didn't even to talk to them, concierge desk also rude so I ended up buying all tours online because I preferred to deal with someone else instead of talking to people there. I went out and spent money somewhere else instead of doing that at the hotel so I could get better service and smile. I would say the worst thing of my trip is staying here. Will never come back to the Mill again and hope you can do better in the future.

Walking towards the rooms the hallways are made of wooden planks and whenever guests are walking towards theirs suites it’s very noisy because they rolls the luggages on the wooden planks,also the suites are closed to each other so when guests open or closed doors it’s noisy. Another thing breakfasts is the same everyday not many varieties, pools are kept clean there’s also shuttles to the beaches. Anther flaws at the Mills Resort taxi services is very lousy and the resort does not provide transportation services to airports. I also find that the resort is very pricey for the location also the supermarket is not near by and it’s very expensive.

Everything, I loved everything. This was our first time in Aruba and it exceeded our expectations. The Mill felt like our own private resort. The room, grounds and service was excellent. Everything was very clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and greeted us at every corner. The front desk was a pleasure to talk to. Always very attentive and helpful. The breakfast was delicious with lots of variety so you can eat something different every day. We also dined at Allegra bistro one day when we didn’t feel like joining the night life. The shuttle to the beach was readily available to take us when we wanted. Although we loved the pool and spent most of our days there. The lizards and beautiful birds roaming about added to the charm. What I loved the most was the fact that we didn’t have to fight over the lounge chairs or cabanas. We found space any time of day we went. Overall we loved out stay at the Mill and will definitely be back. Honestly nothing that I feel needs improvement.

The waiters are rude ,we sat at bar didn't get knowledge for abt 20mins because there too worry abt the change shift!

Pool was excellent Walking access in front of property is poor. With minimal investment, a safer and more convenient path could be constructed for guests walking to area where restaurants are located

With our stay we acquired a complimentary buffet breakfast which was well staffed ,welcoming,and very clean with a great selection of items There was absolutely nothing to dislike

I did like that breakfast was included, though I wished they had meat options that were not pork. I liked that the hotel was in walking distance of restaurants downtown and close to other hotels. The food at the Allegra restaurant was really good. I also like that there was a shuttle offered to Eagle Beach. I was initially confused as this hotel shares the same complex at the Courtyard by Marriott. The Internet in my room was not very reliable. There was a strong mildew smell that would hit me open entering my room. I did tell the staff about it, but I assume there was nothing that could be done, as the smell never went away. Also, the shower could have been cleaner; I always saw strands hair on the walls.

We really enjoyed the breakfast, and ate more than we should have every morning. The staff was so friendly. Even Vegans could find plenty to eat. We also got a kick out of the Iguanas! They were everywhere! The shuttle ti the beach was so convenient! The shower doors in our unit were installed backwards so water would find its way onto the bathroom floor. We mentioned it to the person at the desk.
