Palmetto Beachfront Hotel, a By the Sea Resort

The hotel is on the beach and has an outdoor pool. The only complaints I have are there is not an ice machine and a 2lb bag of ice is $3.00, parking is limited and no WiFi. The room was clean, well maintained and the staff were very friendly. Will stay again.

The grout on the bathroom floor was really dirty. The bathroom shower curtain was shabby on the bottom.The towels were damp & one was dirty, so we don’t really know if any were actually cleaned. The wall where you would hang your bath towel was dirty so we couldn’t hang our towels.

ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE AND BOOK HERE QUITE OFTEN.

Just please fix the door for 6205. It was hard to open. Had to use the cardkey 2 or 3 times. Other than that it was nice

There was a pool across the street with my room and its very underutilized. I spent the day at the beach then back to my room and enjoyed it for a few hours and it felt like my own private pool. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. The room smelled a bit musty when I first got there but didn't notice it after I was there. Reminded me of an older beach hotel which is exactly what it is.

The pillows smelled of body odor. The comforter on the bed smelled like an arm pit. The stopper in the bathroom sink was covered in black mold. There was no bottled water for guests. There was a cooler with water and paper cups at the check in desks but nothing in the room. Instead of a nice hotel directly on the beach, it felt like fish camp.

The staff was friendly and the ocean view was beautiful. We would definitely stay there again.

They fool me we thought we were stay at hotel on beach but they move us to a off-site place across the street. Never mention this in the ad 😳

We had stayed at Palmetto in the 70's and then the last 5 years. The room was not equipped and cleaned properly. The hair dryer this year was not on the bathroom wall. There was no hair dryer in the room. There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom. The dispensers were removed from the shower. The shower curtain smelled soured and needed washing. Their were no dish towels to dry dishes, plastic bowls were missing, the cutting board was gone and just a few pieces of silverware were in the drawer. The carpet was nasty and needs to be replaced with new carpet or vinyl flooring. The furniture is dated. On Weds night the pool was closed at 7pm and was do an for 15 hours. I refused to get in it Thursday after they dumped about a gallon of chlorine in it. We won't be returning.

Don't understand paying for a room for a week and having to pay for ice. Small thing but just seems wrong. Staff for most part we're friendly.

Really enjoyed our stay at Palmetto. Just didnt get to stay long enough.

Our room was a little worn, but clean and tidy. The whole property was worn somewhat. But given its age, it was not so bad. The staff was helpful and polite. We had no problems with the WiFi. The location is great. And the ocean view was amazing.
