Europa Resort Hotel

The room was big and the pool was clean. Also the sheets were clean. The food was bad. Very low quality products. We had breakfast once and dinner once. Then we had to go out every day because the hotel had almost the same food every single day. The welcome plate with fruits in the room had orange with mold! The staff at the restaurant treated only german people professionally, the others were treated with simple ignorance, completely ! The balcony was big, but imposible to use since the AC device was exactly on the balcony and was spreading hot air hard to breathe. In one room the air conditioning was blasting cold air even when set to 26 degrees. In the other room the AC was working okay. NO MOSQUITO NET. If you want to sleep with the balcony door open, prepare to be eaten alive by bugs. The whole building seemed very very old, and it had only some paint coat apllied to give it a fresher look. The shower in both rooms had issues with the pressure and temperature: regardless of how cold you set it, scalding hot water would run every 15-20 seconds. Showed the staff and they did nothing about it. The distance from the beach is about 15 min walking to Panormos beach and 30-40 min driving distance from Rethymno. I dont recommend the hotel for young people. The hotel was full with people over 80 !

Breakfast was great. Every morning there was something new. The only criticism will be a coffee machine. I like a fresh coffee in the morning so investing in new coffee facilities would be beneficial. Nothing really. All was great in general.

I liked the interior of the hotel emphasising on the Greek history and culture, and the Minoan aspects of Crete. The hotel was clean, the cats were great but left plenty of hair on the couches?.. In case you are allergic. Outside area was welcoming with palm trees and big swimming pool. Cosy living room and sleepy cats around. Unfortunately for me the weather was too windy to swim:-(Room and bathroom well functional and comfortable. There is a nice hair drier and big mirror to make yourself beautiful. A lot of hangers and area for luggage. The restaurant has a nice terrace to eat on a hot weather day and enjoy the panorama. Very romantic. Food was fresh and tasty too. There is a pretty beach nearby but you need sea shoes as it is a pebble one. The centre of Panormos is not far away you can walk easily to the city centre. And also commute by buses to either Heraklion or Rethymno. Unless you prefer a car then you can grab one from the airport or at the hotel. I think you can also book tours at the hotel. Super barman , full friendliness in comparison to reception. Restaurant evening staff also very friendly and smiley. You can get the idea what kind of Greek experience the owners tries to give you!☺️??? I could not rent the car anymore ..? Short facilities by end of season:-( come during the season for best experience and weather!

Palms,calm.(Okt 06-13) Not a big hotel but food was ok. Very pleasant terrace to eat. Good place to discover the island but you have to rent a car! There is no direct access to the sea. No beach there. Swimming pool a bit cold appr. 18-19celsi us at beginning of Okt. Despite of above mentioned all together everything is super.

Very nice staff - I would like to thank Mr. Spiros and Mr. Yannis for warm welcome in the hotel. Also great appreciation to the bartenders - Nathalia and Pandelis - they made our stay very special. Beautiful view from the room. Delicious food. Perfect location. We will be back for sure! It is not a big deal when you spent whole day outside but rooms could be cleaned a little better.

Pool very crean. Personal very friendly and helpful. Lack of transport to and from town center. Lack of information regarding daily activities. Food (breakfast) little choice. Bar no exsistent in evenings, no air conditioning in reception or bar áreas. Flies everywhere foods not covered. Bathroom with mould on shower flor and bin all rusty. Sheets that were too small for double bed.

Beautiful garden with a great swimming pool,delicious breakfast,quiet place. A lot of stairs without a lift,not nice beach but we didn’t mind as we stayed only one night on the way.

View from the room is beautiful. The pool is amazing and there is a good poolbar too! Staff is very kind and helpful. Tasty breakfast, fruits, salads and desserts. The only recommendation I would make is to review the menu for the warm dishes.

No room when arrived, no compensation by the Hotel or Booking.

food was plentiful, if not the best meal, it was quite good.

The view and the distance from the Center The room was not the one The sheets were not really clean. There was no coffee or fresh juice to buy at the hotel.

Fabulous location with an excellent pool and garden. All the staff were really friendly and welcoming, especially Yiannis who treated us so professionally and well. Wish we had stayed longer Chris

This is one of the most beautiful hotels that I have ever been to. The sea view is excellent, the pool and the facilities are really nice, the food is great. Everything is nice and clean. And the staff is super nice, especially Yannis from the reception and the staff from the bar and the restaurant! Everything was great really! It's just a shame that there is not directly a beach at the hotel.

The location is at 10 min walking distance to the nearest village, but also because of that, the area where the hotel is located is very silent. The room was a little bit bigger then I expected. The balcony was great and quite big with a view over the garden, pool and the sea. The bathroom quite nice, only downside was the shower drain which does not work quite properly and some water collects in the shower cabin. I think because of that some water leaked around the shower. But the cleaning was made daily (sometimes while we were taking the breakfast). The breakfast was quite good and you've got several good choices. Also they would alternate several items from the breakfast. The pool is nice with all those palm trees around, sun beds and the bar at the pool which is open up until 22:00. All the stuff we interact with was very helpful and respectful. You can also rent cars from the hotel which is big plus. P.S. The dark hair lady from the dinning area is wonderful. Always welcoming you with a smile. It's nice to interact with a person like her first thing in the morning. P.S.2 It was the best booking out of 3, from our 3 weeks stay in Crete. We will definitely return to stay here if we have the chance. Even if there is a 4 star hotel some services are not prezent. For example there are no bathrobes and slippers in the room. But this is not a deal breaker. At least not for us.
