Everything was good

The staff and facilities really wonerfull Far away from the city but calm

The water park was small, but good enough to keep us entertained for awhile. ROOM: We did the upgrade, and they put us in the room closer to the beach. The room felt dark and small. The "first bedroom" was smaller than my dorm room. They put one twin size cot next to the door. Two feed from that is a bunk bed. The ceiling was low, then there's a tiny bedroom in the middle, then another room with a bigger bed there. There is essential no room was anything (walking around, hanging out, suitcases, etc...). FOOD: The food was not good. Meat, chicken, pork, whatever they cooked were very dry. The bakery is the same, very dry. Out of 10+ options of dessert, 1 or 2 may be acceptable. The fruits were good, but there's not cooking.

Overall, we had a pleasant stay at the property and enjoyed our trip. The accommodation was comfortable, well-maintained The pool facilities were clean and well maintained; however, the water was quite cold during our stay, which made it less comfortable for extended swimming, especially for children. Despite this, the pool area itself was pleasant and enjoyable.

The hotel itself is super clean and absolutely beautiful. The whole area feels very well maintained, and we really loved the surroundings. There are many pools, a nice beach owned by the hotel, and an even more beautiful beach with crystal clear water just nearby. The food was good, and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Anastasia working in the main restaurant. One of the highlights for us was the Asian restaurant, absolutely amazing! We also loved that pedal boats were free to use, which was such a fun activity for the whole family. There are two aquaparks, which the kids (and adults) really enjoyed, although one of them had extremely cold water compared to everywhere else. We were also pleasantly surprised with a free room upgrade without even asking. Our room in Casa Marina was spacious and beautiful, with a bathtub in the sleeping area and an incredible sea view from both the terrace and balcony. We also really appreciated being allowed a later checkout because of our late flight. The hotel is especially great for kids. There were self-service popcorn, snacks, ice cream, and drinks, plus small children’s buffet tables where kids could take food themselves. The entertainment was fun, and the bouncy castle was a big hit. A few small things could be improved: • Fitted sheets would be much better. The sheets in our room were smaller than the bed and constantly slipped off. • The pillows could be more comfortable. • The lifeguard at the main pool was always on his phone instead of paying attention to the pool area. • During evening shows, guests receive cushions to sit on because the seating area is uneven stone. Unfortunately, some people took many cushions at once, 5 or 6, leaving none for others, and we sometimes had to sit directly on the cold stones. It would be nice if staff could help manage this a bit better, but they've said they can't do anything about it. • In the main restaurant, plates were occasionally not fully clean But overall, we truly loved our stay. The positives far outweighed the negatives, and we would happily come back again!

We liked the different pools Did not like how we had to eat buffet food for every meal apart from one in 7 days. This was not clear when booking. Very disappointing to only have the option to book one a la cart in 7 days

Family-friendly, good quality buffet, fun and clean water park with snack bar (inclusive), small but nice calm beach, water sports available, great and wide oceanfront views from the breakfast buffet, nice and large lobby with plenty of seating options, in-house atm machine, spa and souvenir shop inside and across from hotel, numerous pools and several themed restaurants, peaceful and clean location (within a village and in a nice part of Crete), inclusive snack bars at the water park and beach area, great landscaping and clean surroundings, great staff (kuddos to the Filipino crew and to wonderful Eleni, and the guys who assisted us with the luggage-sorry can’t remember all the names). Dated and secluded rooms with no view and has a small bathroom. Size was quite good though. Unfortunately, we felt the rooms assigned to us were not reciprocal to the amount we paid. The absence of buggy service to take guests from the aqua park to the beach area is also a downside as they are on opposite ends of the resort and could be quite a walk. The shoreline is wide, but mostly rocky, so not ideal for swimming. However, there are lots of loungers for sunbathing along this part. The “swimmable” beach is small and can get crowded at peak hours, so not relaxing. You will have to wait for off-peak to actually get a lounger.

Simply put…everything!

Nothing Very outdated hotel. The rooms feel old and definitely not luxurious for the price paid. If you only need a place to sleep, it’s fine but if you care about aesthetics, comfort, luxury and getting real value for your hard-earned money, this is not the place, avoid it! The soft drinks and beverages are also of very poor quality, ruined my whole vacation in Greece!

It was our first experience with the All Inclusive vacation and we are super happy we chose the Grecotel resort. We enjoyed the delicious and varied food, we didn't miss a single meal without an excellent Greek salad. The staff is always kind and smiling and it's fun to walk around the resort - everything is very beautiful and well-kept. Every request or small problem we had was answered by the staff very quickly. We were surprised by the size of the room, which included two separate rooms and a balcony. We had a great experience The water in the water park was very cold and at the end of the season this is especially noticeable.

Family friendly, water park was a big plus. The service and food was average.
-
Nice small beach The hotel offers a dine out experience at “the Captain tavern”, at the village near by, the food was good and the village was nice too Overall we really had a good time

Heaven for parents and children alike. The all inclusive included all day dining and drinks. The rooms were cleaned daily and very spacious. Everything was targeted at families with small children- there were no environmental hazards or breakable statues/plants/glassware laying about, kids could roam around and just be kids without having to worry about the other guests (because they all had kids too!). The all inclusive dinner option was only one restaurant. Could have done with another option to mix things up a bit! That said, the one restaurant was excellent so we barely cared.

Location, food, staff and facilities are top notch for the price. Best for families with kids younger than 14-15yo. Hotel offers transportation to and from airport, which is also very professional and comfortable (we chose a van: 7 seater) Beds could have been more comfortable. Transportation to and from airport could have been a little cheaper?

A great place to go with your kids! They paid attention to the details. They brought a cake to our room for our son's birthday without us asking. Added a guardrail for the bottom bunk without us asking after seeing we put a blanket at the edge. The food was quite good for an all-inclusive and the Asian restaurant was our favorite. Great activities for the kids and plenty of pools and lounge chairs. Honestly all around good!

Location is scenic.

The buffet had a great selection of food and lots of restaurants and options to choose from. The staff were absolutely wonderful and really went above and beyond. The beach was lovely and everything on the resort was really easily accessible. I also really loved that unlike other resorts, the staff monitored the lounge chairs by the pools and would remove towels that had not been used in a few hours. The bed and pillows weren't super comfortable. Rooms were a bit outdated. Towel exchange was a bit annoying.

Our kids would say this was their favorite hotel because of the water park, pools and buffet. They loved everything about it. The room we had was lovely, it was a sea view and we were upgraded to have a private hot tub which was lovely. The staff was wonderful and attentive and the resort is well maintained. How the all inclusive works with the restaurants is not what I have experienced at other all inclusive resorts and its a bit misleading. You can only have one reservation at a restaurant (not buffet), if you want to more often its a charge of $30 for each adult and $15 for kids. Our kids loved the buffet but we didn't love it, it was good not great. We walked into town a couple of nights and had amazing dinners. The beach was a bit rough and seaweed covered, this was our third trip to Greece and the beaches on Crete we not our favorites.
