Anya Hotel

Hotel Anya offers very good value for money in a quiet side street in a lively part of Paris, slightly off the beaten track for tourists. It is very convenient for the Gare du Nord and the Gare de Lyon so a perfect place to stay if you're breaking your journey in Paris on the way to the south of France. There's a wide range of restaurants nearby, including my favourite "Chez Papa" with hearty meals from the SW of France. Nothing really. The rooms are fairly basic, as you would expect at this price, but very clean; the showers work and there is a small desk which would be useful for business travellers.

The staff, very nice and helpful, and the roundabouts The room was small and the bathroom was tiny. There was a shower but no doors or curtains to close it . Taking a shower meant getting the entire mini bathroom wet… toilet paper and toiletries had to be taken out before shower.

Charming little hotel in a great location. Metro really close by and easy to get to popular areas on foot. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. Comfy beds, clean linen and fluffy towels. Kettle was provided and other equipment was offered (hairdryer etc.). The staff are lovely, welcoming and helpful. As a solo female traveller I instantly felt at ease and as safety is a priority, this made my stay all the more relaxing. It felt like a home away from home. I thoroughly recommend Hotel Anya. For me, there’s nothing to not like. For those who expect modern interiors and luxurious rooms then this is not the place for you. The bathroom is compact but that’s typical of a traditional Parisian hotel in an old building, it’s still 100% functional.

Staff was very friendly even though they only speak French. Used a translation app to communicate. Even when I had a electrical outlet issue, the staff got the electrician to come by and it was resolved within the day. The accommodation was very near the metro - two minutes walk with three supermarket nearby. There were a few fantastic boulangeries around too. My booking was in summer hence with only a fan in the room, it can become unbearable. But it was my mistake to not check for air-conditoning.

List is quite long, but the biggest disappointment was that the staff would smoke at the ground floor beneath the windows. Obviously, with no AC, you would want to open your windows, but I woke up with a mild asthma attack on both mornings of my stay here. Avoid if you have asthma.

I like the location! Small bathroom

The staff in the hotel were very nice and helpful! Location was great! We did not have anything to complain about. What we saw and read about while booking accommodation, was exactly what we got. There were no unpleasant surprises and we were happy with our stay!

Location near from Gare de Lyon and metro. Would be good to have a better fan. It would be good to have breakfast.
