Decor and location.

It’s our second time and everything went smoothly. We even didn’t hesitate where to stay. Hotel is modern, staff is welcoming, location is our favorite in Paris (calm and clean neighborhood close to central) no fridge, but stuff can keep some items in their fridge

Very clean and cool room, even during a hot spell in Paris. Location was very good - a metro stop was nearby but we ended up walking to shops around Montmartre and Ubering to other sites (probably would have been a nice walk to the Louvre but it was too darn hot!). My daughter had a charming view from her balcony. We all enjoyed starting our mornings at the patisserie outside the hotel! The staff was VERY accommodating, safely storing our luggage hours before our check in, and helping arrange a large van to take us to the train station for our ridiculously early train LOL! They really helped to take the stress out of our first Paris trip! Nothing

I really enjoyed my stay in Hotel Le Cardinal with my daughter. The room was small but comfortable and clean. It was very hot outside, but the room was climatised. The hotel is very nicely located and as we are used to walk a lot we visited most of the Paris turist sites by foot.

The property was very pretty, and the lobby gave a wonderful first impression. The breakfast area was also lovely and added to the overall atmosphere of the hotel. I especially loved the décor and the beautiful balcony windows overlooking the street. The fact that it’s a pedestrian-only, no-drive road made the setting even more charming and peaceful. We arrived during a heat wave and were shocked to find that our room had no working air conditioning. When we called the front desk, they made it seem as though the problem was limited to our room. However, I had booked two rooms, and my parents had their own room. So three booked rooms total and none of them had working AC. We later saw another guest using a portable fan, which made it clear that the issue appeared to be affecting more of the hotel than we were initially told. It was frustrating to feel that the staff was not being upfront about the situation, especially during such extreme heat. We were also left with the impression that the hotel may have intentionally shut down the AC for two days, although we were never given a clear explanation. We found the staff to be less than polite or accommodating.

The property was beautifully decorated and had a warm, pleasant atmosphere from the moment we walked in. The lobby and overall décor made a lovely first impression. Aside from the lack of air conditioning, we were also disappointed with the staff and their lack of concern. My husband slipped and fell in the shower, and when we informed the staff, they didn’t seem concerned or fazed by what had happened. I also had an unexpected emergency that required me to stay an additional night. The amount I was charged for that one night was extremely high and felt completely unreasonable and felt taken advantage of. Unfortunately, between the lack of AC, the staff’s attitude, their response to my husband’s fall, and what I felt was an excessive charge for the extra night, the experience left us very disappointed.

The property was recently renovated and very modern, the decoration within the reception and the rooms themselves were giving a luxurious feel. The reception was super friendly and gave us some recommendations for restaurants. Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and room AC was powerful

Beautifully renovated hotel in an ideal location of Paris. The lobby is very nice with complimentary drinks and seating. The rooms are small, as expected, but well made and comfortable. The bathroom was particularly impressive. This hotel is on a dead end street which means quiet nights for a good sleep. We did not notice noise from other rooms either. Plenty of very good dining spots nearby and a great boulangerie on the corner. Loved the view from our balcony. Staff was pleasant. There was a smell of mold in the room that persisted through our stay. It was most noticeable each time we entered the room, but then our noses seemed to adapt. I could not find a source as the room was very clean and obviously newly remodeled. Maybe it was only our room that had this issue? Possibly an interior wall issue? Not sure.

The location was amazing, the room was so clean and a good size, the staff were very friendly and helpful and the complimentary coffee and water in the lounge area was a great addition. Nothing
