Hotel Le Ballu

The crew is professional, discrete, serious, and super helpful. Getting my lugages in my room before the ehckin, parcel delivered, room remade and items placed with care. The SPA is a great pause in the craziness of Paris. Would love to visit and eat for lunch/dinner with my loved one. Thanks for your service and hospitality, very appreciated. Nothing to complain about I wish I could stay longer.

Specious room, very clean and pleasant to stay in, the location is great. I liked everything but in such a hotel I would expect to a more engaging experience. We told them that we are here to celebrate a birthday and even without any celebration in such a hotel you would expect that extra touch.

We loved everything about the property! From the moment you entered the front doors, we were impressed. It was so classy and beautiful. We loved the little outside area where you could eat. We loved our bedroom. The big bed was comfortable and cozy. The bathroom was fabulous. We loved that you could reserve the sauna and pool for a private time for an hour or 45 minutes. Everything was just gorgeous. We have to mention that the hotel staff was so warm and inviting. We especially have to mention Sophie. The woman greeted us the minute we walked in. She took care of us. Our entire stay. We chatted with her every day. She gave us advice. She helped us book tickets to Disneyland Paris. She brought our suitcases up to the room. We truly miss her already. What a gem! There was also a very special blonde young waitress that took care of us and unfortunately, I can’t remember her name. She had straight hair not the girl with the braid, but the girl with the braid was really nice as well. The waitress just chatted with us and was so kind. Everyone went out of their way to make our stay special and we felt so welcome. If or when we go back to Paris, we will absolutely stay at hotel Ballu again! We also love the proximity to the metro and there were wonderful restaurants nearby. Oh my goodness, there was the best pastry shop just down the street and we went there every morning for amazing croissants and cinnamon buns. Absolutely nothing!

A lovely clean and quiet hotel. Good breakfast. The lighting in the room is so confusing.

The hotel is located in close proximity to Sacre Coeur and makes it easy to walk around Montmartre. The room itself was extremely large by Paris standards making it easy to unpack, repack and move about. The pool and sauna are including in the booking and offered a nice wellness reprieve from the city. The restaurant offers a beautiful courtyard setting with good dining options. Within the 3 hours after checking in, I had an employee enter my room twice. The first time I was using the toilet, and the second time I was nude, in the shower. As a solo, female traveler I found this unacceptable and rather jarring. Upon notifying reception, they only explained 'why' this happened-- apparently a miscommunication and the employee wanting to check my towels? Keeping in mind I had just checked in and wouldn't require this type of service so soon, I did not find this a sufficient resolution or compensation for being invaded upon and startled. Moving forward they recommended I indicate "do not disturb". It's certainly not what I would expect from a "5-star" hotel, though this felt more like a 4-star (or below) in terms of customer service and staples like the mattress, pillows and linens. Considering the investment I made to spend one night here specifically to relax and use their pool and sauna facilities, which I stated upon check in, I cannot recommend this hotel and I would not return.

The hotel was excellent. Only 2 steps into hotel and we were met by smiling hotel staff, who guided us through check-in and were very helpful indeed. Hotel location makes for a great hub if you like walking to places and it had many restaurant's and bars close by. Our bedroom was not the biggest but very very comfortable with a large bathroom and a great monsoon shower. We also had a hidden sink, microwave and coffee making facilities which was a nice touch Street could be a bit noisy, but we are in a city !!

The location was good. It does not seem like a five star hotel. It’s the worst value for money we ever got and we visit Paris multiple times a year because our son studies there. Our room was dark with only a high window in the sitting area. No natural light at all. The bathroom was cramped and small for this class of hotel. All service staff were grumpy and cold. It almost seemed like they were trained not to smile and engage with the guests - opposite of every other interaction we have in Paris. At restaurants and hotels, people are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful.

The food was of outstanding quality! The hotel was impeccably maintained and the staff were very thoughtful, friendly and helpful. The only problem that all of us had was that the rooms were too warm and there we couldn’t cool it down or adjust our bedding for a more comfortable temperature

The breakfast was fine, although I only had it one day but realized it would be the same selection every day. The room was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant and bar service were below average as well as was the food. I did not get my full food order one night and was served several glasses of flat champagne which I had to repeatedly point out, and the food order another night was not as described on the menu. Both the lack of service and quality of the food were not expected.

Breakfast is very good, the quality of the food is really excellent. It is all wait staff serviced, so no ability to get something quickly from a buffet style breakfast.

Excellent stay at Le Ballu. Staff was welcoming and helpful. Restaurant was delicious and the terrace is cosy and perfect. We had a wonderful time. The option to book the pool is also a perfect option. Thanks
