Room was very clean and comfortable. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good. Definitely worth eating there. Good location, good access and near bus and tube. Not much. They were doing some renovations while we're there. Did not really affect us. Maintenance needs to be done. Not much trouble.

We reached the hotel it was under renovation, paint smell no AC …. A desastre
-
Good location 8am construction and staff playing music while workings ZERO AC. do not stay here if you’re looking to have AC. even though we paid for a hotel with AC there is none during the renovations and they will give you a portable fan that doesn’t really help at all.

Location, friendly staff. They were refurbishing the building, dust all over the corridors and in the room and very disturbing smell of wall paint. They should have warned about this while reserving.

The staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful throughout my stay. The location was truly magnificent. It was close enough to walk to many of the main sites, well connected to public transportation, and surrounded by great local bars, restaurants, cafés, a supermarket, and a pharmacy. The hotel was beautifully decorated with a cozy, ski cottage feel. The bed was very comfortable, and the room remained quiet despite facing the street, which made it easy to rest after long days out. The heating worked great and was especially welcome on a cold winter day. I would have loved to see a bit more variety in the breakfast offerings. I considered adding it on, but ultimately decided not to since it felt a bit simple for the price. That said, the complimentary coffee and tea were a very nice touch and much appreciated.

The location was in a great spot. Easy walking to shops, Moulin Rouge and beautiful views of Paris. They were in the middle of restoration of the building so there were a couple inconveniences but the updates look amazing.

The location is great, beds were comfortable, and staff were friendly. Shower had good water pressure. This hotel is a 2.5 star at best and not worth what I paid. The first room I was in had a strong smell with paint peeling on the bathroom door and peeling wallpaper. It also did not have heat in the middle of winter. When I informed staff about the heat I was told there were no more rooms and was provided a small electric heater. I asked the receptionist to see the room for herself, at which point she agreed I could not stay there due to how cold it was, and gave me another room, which somehow became available. Throughout the stay there were definite animal scurrying sounds within the room walls. Staff said it might be a dog? This hotel could be significantly better with maintenance and addressing the cleaning issues. Floors weren't vacuumed in the room or stairwell, laundry bags were left piled outside the rooms overnight, and garbage was not emptied. Breakfast was ok, but considering there were much better places in the area I only ate there 2/5 days. I was surprised based on all the positive reviews and would not stay here again.

The location was excellent. I was very disappointed with my stay and surprised due to previous positive reviews. The rooms were tiny and unclean, and the hallway floors were unvacuumed with laundry bags left out, giving an overall untidy impression. Housekeeping was often late, and trash was not emptied during my stay. The hotel is not worth the price, and the photos online do not accurately reflect the reality. I would not recommend this hotel.

The hotel was excellent, with a very convenient and accessible location-just a short walk from the metro and bus station. The hotel was clean, and the room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. Complimentary croissants, water, and coffee were available in the lobby. The staff were outstanding: extremely kind and helpful. Shek, in particular, was exceptional. He arranged a taxi for us and was incredibly helpful throughout our stay. N/A

At first we were in a room fit for 1 person . We asked and they responded immediately! What a professional group.

View We stayed three nights at Hotel R. Kipling in Paris and had a consistently frustrating experience, starting from the very first moment. Poor cleanliness, faulty plumbing, missing basic amenities, lack of staff responsiveness, and excuses rather than solutions. If you're expecting a reliable, comfortable four-star hotel, I recommend reading the full details below before booking. --- Full Review: We arrived with high expectations and were let down immediately. The bathroom sink was leaking from the pipe underneath—not a small drip, but actual water flowing when used. The hotel later claimed a technician “found nothing wrong,” but the issue was clear and visible to us as guests. Denying this rather than acknowledging it was unacceptable. The sink was also absurdly small—the kind you'd expect in a camper van—despite the bathroom having enough space for a larger, more functional one. Cleanliness was subpar: we found a forgotten earring on the nightstand. Basic toiletries were empty upon arrival. We reported it to reception, and they promised to send up replacements “shortly.” After waiting 40 minutes, we called again. They eventually brought conditioner and body lotion, not shampoo or shower gel. I discovered this too late, already in the shower. We tried to call reception five times—no answer. My partner went down and found no one at the front desk, even though guests were waiting to check in. It took another 30 minutes for someone to show up and deliver the correct toiletries. The excuse? “Busy with other guests”—but there were no staff present when we checked ourselves. The shower was another disaster: low water pressure and a leaky handheld head, making it especially hard to wash long hair. Meanwhile, signs in the room encourage guests to save water and skip cleaning services... while the broken shower wastes water anyway. A contradiction. There is no minibar/fridge in the room. My stay at R.Kipling Hotel was delightful. The staff truly went above and beyond – their kindness and willingness to assist with anything we needed made such a difference. A special shout-out for the delicious croissants and coffee provided in the lobby. Thanks a lot!
