Lovely hotel, clean, cozy elegance. Smells good! Quiet. Wonderful breakfast. Well appointed rooms beautifully decorated. Love the bathroom: good water pressure and very hot water -nice after a long day out sightseeing. Can recommend. All good.

Breakfast, air conditioning staff very accommodating. Good location. We visited Rue Mouffetard several times. Many restaurants nearby. Metro within easy reach.

Great location!

Charming, lots of character, the pool is a highlight. The bar had a nice vibe. Large bathroom and great tub. And I always appreciate having a Nespresso machine in the room. À porter at the door to help with bags would be nice for this quality of hotel.

Awesome breakfast, comfy bed, nice decor, walkable location Nothing

Rooms are small and our first room had only a desk chair to sit on besides the bed. And there are limited common areas to relax in. There is a bench in the lobby, but not a comfortable place to sit. The breakfast area turns into a bar, so not a quiet place to be (without buying something). The sauna is nice, but a bit rundown. Also surprising that the pool is not tiled ceramic, but made of a laminate / plastic cover.

The room was beautiful and far more spacious that we thought it would be (for Paris, that is). It was very reasonably priced and we definitely thought we got our money's worth. It was part of the aesthetic, but the mirrors were tarnished in some places, which made it slightly annoying to get ready in the morning. It would have been nice if the sitting area had a desk, but that's our only "complaint."

We loved the pool—used it several times during the week. Location was wonderful—good food on site and at La Dictionnaire across the street and we loved Café Lea at the end of the block. I probably didn’t love all of the taxidermies creatures in the entrance but that’s it.

Hotel Monte Cristo lives up to its name and presents the aspects of its namesake's (Count of Monte Cristo) with love to the detail. From entrance to reception to staircase and room decoration and even the bar with lovely tiles and their own cups all invite to leave the here and now and enjoy a bit of extravagant traveling. Staff is both professional and kind, making you feel welcome from the moment you step through the door. Staff at the rum bar with a great selection (1.600 bottles plus, they say) makes you understand and see rum in a way you didn't know it was like - if you like rum or not, a visit and small tasting is a must! The rooms are spacious and cozy and also here, every detail has been thought of.

This is a great little boutique hotel near the Latin Quarter in Paris that is well-run, with a very attentive and friendly staff. It is near so many restaurants, bars, boulangeries, markets...you name it. Also very close to the Censier-Daubenton Metro station and several bus stops. One of our favorite parts of each day of our stay was breakfast. Pastries, breads, jams, eggs, bacon, hams, fruit, coffee and fresh-squeezed juices...we never wanted to skip it no matter how early our days started. The lap pool and the sauna in the basement were a novelty we tried once. The rooms were nicely appointed and the beds/pillows were very comfortable. The wardrobe was small but still had enough space to store our luggage (there's also space under the bed if you open the suitcase to slide under). Rooms have central heat/air, things we heard were lacking in some Paris hotels. And there's a modern elevator with room for about 5 people. Overall it was a nice base for our week-long winter vacation. We would recommend! We never could get the internet to work. Not a big deal. and we didn't ask about it, so that's on us. Seemed like summer prices in the winter, so the value didn't seem exceptional, but still fair.

Decor, design, art, an amazing bar and restaurant, and fantastic friendly service! There is attention to detail everywhere. You can feel the care, thought, and work that went into this. And this translates to all the services and staff. From the scents, to the lighting and the specialized rum bar, into the warm and intimate corridors and shared areas and beautiful rooms, this hotel takes you on a storytelling journey of evocative landscapes, exotic artifacts, and tales of travels. The spa could benefit from splitting the pool and adding a hot tub. There is not much space to relax down there, as the pool takes up most of the area. I feel like less pool area, more lounge chairs and a hot tub would make this incredibly more comfortable and relaxing. Nevertheless, it is probably more than enough for warm days :)
