It was great location! Got to check in early which was a great help since we had flown all night. The staff were wonderful! Small room which is expected in city.
-
Amazing location - incredibly convenient to the RER and Metro stations - 5 min walk from Notre Dame and right in the Latin Quarter. Def not cheap! But probably fair value for Paris these days. Friendly staff and happy for us to leave luggage for the day. Classic Paris elevator - an experience in its self! And Air Con!

The staff was just amazing! The reception crew really defines hospitality. Very professional, kind, warm, super helpful and accomodatind. Mr Mbomo, Mr Kwan, Mr Sasha, Mme Slavika from the Breakfast room was very nice and kind. I will definitely stay there again and recommend my family and friends!! Nothing!!

Great location. Friendly staff. Excellent treats in the lobby. Free water in the room that was refilled daily. The breakfast was overpriced and cold. I was excited for the breakfast buffet, but I overpaid for cold food.

The entire staff and particularly Denis made this the most enjoyable trip! Nothing to complain about here!

Location and very safe as a single traveller

Comfortable room. Great location. Courteous, helpful, professional staff. The breakfast room on the second floor, and its staff were remarkably excellent in every way. Can’t think of anything bad.

This was our second time staying at this hotel. Previously we rated a 7, this time we have nudged up to an 8. We standby all of our previous comments in the earlier review (which to summarise were breakfast, air-conditioning and cleanliness being substanitally better than average). But on our second stay we have two addtional comments: the rooms generally look refreshed - not tired and dreary which can be a common observation in Parisian hotels. Above all the staff are lovely - upon our return the concierge recognised us and remembered our names - it is such a small thing but that is professional and it does make a difference to the overall guest experience. We should also have mentioned previously that there is a small sitting area opposite the recepiton with complimentary cooled water and light snacks which is a pleasant place to sit whilst waiting for your room to be prepared or even just a chance for a light refreshment after entering the hotel - again a simple thing but it gives the hotel the edge over some of its competitors in this area and price range. My traveller's tip: if arriving by train from CDG with heavy luggage, when alighting at RER B Saint Michel Notre Dame head for the exit 6 rue Xavier Privas - it has an elevator from the platform right upto street level and from there you can easily walk to the hotel - about 200 meters without crossing any busy main roads. As noted before the triple room was small even by cental Parisian standards and definetely a squeeze with 3 big suitcases, but that is just how things are in Paris. We have stayed at other hotels in the area with triple rooms a little larger (genuine suites with two bedrooms) but frankly we would rather stay at the Royal - air con with an appopriate power rating which keeps guests comfortably cool in summer is more important to us.

The staff were all very nice and the location was so convenient- great walking distance from 2 subway stations. Easy to get where you wanted.
-
Location is exceptional. Close to the metro, great food, and beautiful places to see.
-
This hotel was in great location close to many sites like Notre Dame, Louvre etc. The Metro was on the same block as well - the staff was excellent and they always provided ice and cold water which was great as we were there during 100 degree heat wave at the end of June. Although the elevator /lift is really small we had no issue using satire to the third floor It seemed a little dated

The location was excellent, near the metro, train and bus stations, steps away from the Seine and walking distance to major sites. The room was perfect, very clean and the a/c was a real comfort. The beds were comfortable. Although it is central, it was quiet at night. Breakfast was generous and had a great buffet. The kindness of the staff outstanding, they went out of their way to make our stay delightful, especially Denis who kindly surprised my daughter and I upgrading our room following my daughter's graduation celebration. The lift is tiny but understandable as it is in an old building.

Bathroom was small.

Very helpful staff, and lovely extras like wine tasting. Nice balcony to see the city streets below. Better shower

This is a great location! The things I didn’t like they can’t change so it was lovely overall.
-
The location is wonderful! The staff, especially Dennis, was exceptional! The attic bathroom could use a bit of work.
-
It was very centric. You could walk anywhere N/A

The location was excellent for Notre Dame and a variety of restaurants. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The room was well appointed and had everything we needed. Bonus - candy in the Lobby. The worn carpet in the lobby gave a negative first impression that was not reflected by the lovely room.

Denis at the front desk was fantastic! The hotel was very nice
