Excellent cleaning service: They cleaned our room perfectly every single day as requested. Great location: The neighborhood is very safe with plenty of nearby cafes, restaurants, and a self-service laundry just an 8-minute walk away, which was perfect for the family. Good breakfast: The morning buffet had a pretty decent selection of food. Easy check in and check out. Very cramped rooms: The room was very small. With two folding beds set up for the kids and our 5–6 pieces of luggage, we really struggled with the limited space. Slow transport: Getting an Uber was quite time-consuming and much slower compared to our previous experiences. No view: There was nothing much to see from the bedroom window.

Great room, clean and fresh

The staff were friendly and cooperative. Parking was good in the hotel but it is not free. I booked two rooms for me and my kids, rooms are so small and toilets are not ventilated. Toilet was separated from the sink in two different rooms. The price is more than the room quality and area.

The air conditioning wasn’t cooling properly. Considering the high temperatures, this was quite disappointing because it made it difficult to get a good night’s sleep. As for the breakfast, I appreciate that children are not charged, which is a nice benefit. However, more attention should be paid to the cleanliness of the plates and glasses, as many of them were dirty on several of the mornings when I had breakfast.

Room service You did not get it every day and you have to ask for it multiple times

The location was convenient, and the hotel itself appeared clean. Unfortunately, the customer service overshadowed any positives. The complete lack of empathy and customer service. Our family of 12 arrived around 9:00 a.m. after traveling for nearly two days. We even offered to pay for an extra night so we could get into our rooms early, but instead we had to sleep in the hotel lobby until 3:00 p.m. No one checked on us, offered updates, or showed any concern. Later that night, we watched the staff leave a pregnant woman from Spain stranded because they couldn't locate her Booking.com reservation. We ended up paying for her room ourselves because we couldn't bear to see her left without a place to sleep.

It is very dirty. Room is dirty, shower and bathroom are dirty. You could see marks on the walls. Very dirty hotel.

This was, without a doubt, the dirtiest and smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in throughout all my travels around the world. The room had an incredibly poor design. The toilet had no window, and the ventilation fan didn’t work at all. Even worse, there was no sink inside the toilet—you had to leave the bathroom and walk to the sink in the room opposite just to wash your hands after using the toilet. The shower was unacceptable. This was the first hotel I have ever stayed in that did not provide air conditioning for guests. There was no Nespresso coffee machine in the room either, despite the very high price. air conditioning in the room barely worked. The minibar refrigerator was also broken and not functioning properly. Every single day I requested housekeeping, yet not once during my stay was my room cleaned. Overall, this was an absolutely terrible experience, and I will never return to this hotel. To make matters even worse, on the morning of our check-out, there was an unbearable, foul odor coming from what seemed to be the ground-floor restaurant or a nearby area. The smell was absolutely disgusting and made us feel sick. What was even more shocking was that none of the staff seemed to care or make any effort to identify or fix the source of the odor. I had heard people say that parts of Paris can sometimes have unpleasant smells, but I never imagined I would have to endure such a horrible odor inside the hotel itself. It was completely unacceptable and left a terrible final impression of our stay.

Air conditioning and refrigerator weren’t worked well Breakfast

The location was convenient. I was extremely disappointed with my stay. I specifically chose this hotel because the listing advertised air conditioning — a non-negotiable during Paris’s heatwave — but the unit in our room was outdated and completely non-functional. We spent the entire night in unbearable heat with no way to cool down. For a well-known French hotel chain charging premium prices, this is unacceptable. To make matters worse, the interior doors had visible holes in them, which felt very below standard for the price point. I would not recommend this hotel and would not return.

We had a very positive stay at Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse. The hotel itself was good, but what truly stood out was the exceptional quality of the staff. During our stay, my wife experienced some health issues, and Gioacchino went above and beyond to help us. He promptly contacted the hospital, assisted us throughout the situation, and regularly checked on us to make sure everything was okay. His professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern made a stressful situation much easier to handle. The restaurant staff were also incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. A big thank you to the entire team for their outstanding service. The staff at this hotel are truly exceptional and made our stay memorable.
