the spiral staircase was quite difficult

The staff is very friendly, and I like to stay in a non touristy neighborhood since I am going to Paris often. For people who come for Paris' touristy side it definitely wouldn't be ideal. While I love the authentic feel to the neighborhood in the day time, the noise is extremely annoying at night - the whole night! Also, the room was very stuffy and unbearably hot! I'm glad I stayed only one night since that was exhausting enough. Not to mention the infamous stairs everyone else is raving about...yes, they are as steep and as narrow as everyone claims. I wonder how you can get a larger piece of luggage up and down. Since I was warned by the reviews, I left even my cabin sized luggage in storage at the station. This is only a - costly - option if you stay just one night.

Off the beaten path. Located in a busy residential area with easy access to the metro system. For light sleepers the location is very noisy early into the morning. In fact the area seems to never sleep.

Location Location

Excellent location. The staff is very responsive, with a sense of humor. It was one of the best places to stay for a budget tourist. I recommend it to everyone! We will also choose this hotel next time.

Friendly housekeeping, LOTS of natural lighting with two windows that open with blackout curtains. Overlooks the intersection Avron and Pyrenees. Nice shower.EXCELLENT location as you are in a Lively neighborhood with everything at your doorstep. Small but cozy single. Metro and bus right outside entrance! Minor problem that mini fridge was stuck on freezer setting and I left a note about this at checkout.

The metro was right outside the door so you could get anywhere in the city very quickly. Lots of little shops, cafe, boulangerie in walking distance. Bed was very comfortable, lots of hot water and facilities was very clean Noise from the outside at night from restaurant across the street. Normal for a large city. The very steep spiral staircase was a challenge with a 40 lbs bag on your back and no lift. If you got all the way down and forgot something in the room it was paper rock scissors to see who was the sacrifice.

the room with the private bathroom was great, very clean, just the pillows could be a little smaller.
-
lot of stairs, we’re at the 4th floor
-
The location is key, you have a metro station right out the door. The Wi-Fi was really good The front desk is not 24hs so you better not have any issues at night, then the shared bathroom could be a bit cleaner

The concierge helped at a time my daughter was unwell. It was warm and clean. The staff booked a taxi for us. Their curtains need to fixed or changed. They were hanging down off the rails and then didn't cover enough of the window for it to be dark. Both the sheer and block out were on the same rail which didn't work. Their stairs were very steep and windy and the sensor lights did not stay on long enough for us to get up and down in the light. It was not a 24/7 front desk, often there was no one there and no one came when you rang the bell.
-
Room was clean, Bed very comfortable. Metro right outside door. Shared bathroom & toilets, motion detection lights on both stairs and toilets didn't stay on long enough to use. 2 shared showers for use between 5 floors. Staff very unfriendly at check-in.

Terrible experience dealing with booking/reservations staff of the hotel
-
Excellent location, staff—especially the cleaning staff—were great, helpful and friendly. Being next to the subway was a real plus. It’s a busy area, so there’s noise but it’s Paris. They kept the laundry in the hallway and we were near the kitchen, so there was an odor in the hall.
-
The bed was slightly uncomfortable, but nothing too critical.
-
I love staying here everything is close you have de carefoot next to it and the metro outside. Super lovely and cozy room (i want to stat there forever) the views. The silence the privacy 100pts.
-
Good price, location next to the metro station. No air condition
-
the location is a little ways away from the city but there is an amazing bakery on the street and a metro line that brings you directly infront of your hotel.
-
It was conveniently located right next to the Metro stop which is just outside the entrance. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The stairs are narrow. The street noise and sirens are constant.

Maraîchers Line 9 metro station 2-3 steps, bus line stops from front door of L'Union, at active intersection. Classical architecture building, My room, 203, had two big windows of the interesting intersection below. Bars, boulangeries, bazars, BNP ATM, Carrefour grocery, restaurants immediately upon exiting hotel. Strong wi-fi and daily cleaning. a desk (but you could use the small cocktail table and stool). Stairs between floors classical with railings
