We stayed 3 nights at Hotel Lumen in the deluxe rooms and here is our assessment of the property Excellent location for exploring central Paris on foot - Louvre and surrounding attractions are walkable The staff are very helpful and friendly - we forgot items after we left and they were very responsive to arrange a collection The hotel beds were comfortable and for such a busy central location it was quiet Good water pressure in the shower Iron and board in room Good storage for such small rooms If you want to experience a luxury stay please adjust your expectations - the place is clean and tidy but the bathrooms in particular are quite old and tired - we had mixers come out of the wall The place looks like it was last renovated about 20 years ago and could really benefit from an update both the rooms and common areas We didn’t use the breakfast so cannot comment on that we preferred to have breakfast and the many and varied cafes The air con was quite weak and noisy but got the job done

The decor and the staff We went in the recent heatwave and the aircon wasn’t cool enough to make much of a difference. However for normal hot weather conditions it would be fine.

Location is excellent for walking to many attractions. Louvre is 200m. Rooms are small but this is fairly standard for Paris centre.
