Nothing...we were not even bothered by the construction noise.

Great location, comfortable, staff was friendly Rooms small, and it was under construction. But no noise!

The weather was very hot and the A/C could not cool down the room temperature. Also if you'd open the windows for some fresh air, bugs would get in because windows don't have shield. I wish the breakfast would be served in the lobbey area that is always free of guest instead of the downstairs area which was so dark and tiney.

Amazing stay at Hotel Fontaines du Luxembourg, it was not our first stay but the location is perfect and the hotel is very charming. Staff is amazing and very professional. We have asked if it was possible to get the same room than during our first stay and it was approved. For Paris vacation it is highly recommended.

This hotel bailed us out when our original reservation turned out to be a scam. The hotel is in the Latin quarter, so close to all the cool stuff. Lots of cafes and college kids and tourists. All the clerks spoke English well and were exceedingly friendly and courteous. The room was a little small and they didn't have the room we booked available (we booked two beds, then they called us a few minutes later to tell us only rooms with one bed were available).

Hotel review for stay at 27th May 2026 and week or two before the really hot weather in Paris • Room: Classic Double Room ( with no breakfast option) • Room: 2nd floor room 201 • Weather: strangely hot with temperatures around 32deg.C • Location: excellent location to tourist spots, transport, restaurants. • Reception: nice and helpful ! • Lift: has a lift even if it is a little small • Common lounge area on ground floor : has coffee, tea, water and some light snacks in afternoon… First In ? • Location: Since it’s on a narrow oneway laneway taxis etc sometimes challenged to drop and pickup… but workable.

Construction at hotel

Good location. Great staff. Bed was comfortable. Everything was fine

The staff was especially helpful and friendly.
-
Really liked the location with proximity to Luxembourg Palace/Gardens Lift was very small, but to be expected with a hotel of this vintage
-
Good location. Great to have a dep across the street. Bakery and cafes too. House keeping would come in the late afternoon when we had already returned to the hotel, so our room did not always get cleaned.
-
I didn’t have hot water and I had to change a. room late at night

The hotel has a great location! We had two adjoining rooms making it comfortable for our family of four. Eric was wonderful! He is a true asset to the hotel

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and attractive. We enjoyed our room even though it was small. There were treats and drinks available in the lobby throughout the day. After the first cleaning, our towels were never replenished. They took away the hand towel and the bath mat and never brought new ones. There wasn’t a closet, just a small, shallow hanging space. The lift was very tiny. All 3 of us could not ride at the same time. The breakfast needed better egg options. There were cold hard boiled eggs and strange mushy scrambled eggs. It needed more bread options as well.

Eric went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable.

Not much NOT to like.

Erik at the front desk was extra helpful and so gracious. All the staff was great. The hotel was charming. The stairs were challenging. But there was an elevator so that was a bonus.
-
Rooms a little small but comfortable. The AC was turned to cool as soon as the heat wave hit which meant the hotel and rooms stayed comfortable. The iced tea or flavored water along with coffee tea and croissants in the lobby was a nice touch and made the place feel warm and cozy Room a little small

Location is great! Eric was very helpful. Historical building tastefully restored. Cramped elevator. Staff could provide better communication about Uber pickup spots. The bathtub was difficult to get in and out of. Floor is slippery. Bathtub need handrails.
