The buffet is nice, and room is comfortable with stocked fridge. A guest was loud and being childish during breakfast buffet.

Hotel room is quite spacious making stay comfortable, having room to stretch out and unpack. The hotel is in a very good location, situated between two popular malls. The hotel breakfast buffet has a good spread of quality food. The hotel parking has a narrow entrance and exit. Additionally, the front desk is small, which can cause delays during check-in and check-out.

Last time I stayed in this hotel is about 10 years ago. Shopping mall is just besides, got a lot of choice of foods. Location is good but very jam during weekends and office hours. Traffic is really very bad, unlike 10 years ago when i was here. The main lobby only got one lane to use. The room floor is a bit dirty. The staff who vacuum the room, only do for certain area. Not the whole room. For this, the hotel can be improved. The room given to me is not very privacy. Next door window can say hi to you. The floor entrance of the toilet is very slippery, do not step on it.

Hard to beat this hotel, everything in tiptop shape, great location, amazing buffet breakfast. Nothing negative about the hotel but traffic seems always busy in that area.

The overall experience was fantastic - Great hotel complimented by exceptional staff always demonstrating excellent customer service. The location was good and with the convenience of the shopping mall along side the hotel made for a great stay Leaving !

Huge executive suite with a good view. More important high degree of cleanliness and good attentive staff. Too near to Gurney Mall which makes the area too crowded though noise is not noticeable in the suite.

Staff - Exceedingly polite and responsive. Housekeeping Siam attended to us during our stay and he was very fast, polite and helpful. He filled our refreshment area with ample supply of drinking water, coffee bags, etc. Registration staff, concierge, etc. Hotel was able to accommodate our request to have rooms next to one another. Made it so much easier to coordinate our day trips and other logistics. Checkin and checkout was very fast and straightforward - no unnecessary admin needed Rooms assigned to us was facing the sea and we could see Andaman Island being developed. Mini-bar contents were free - if you have no concerns about sugar intake, there's Coke, Sprite, soya etc. Size of room, ample wall sockets everywhere, and phones on the desk, bedside table and bathroom. No worries about missing calls. TV channels - BBC, Bloomberg, CNA as well as HBO, AXN, Cinemax Airconditioning and lighting worked very well. Pillows - were too spongy and I could not sleep well despite housekeeping attempts to bring me different sized pillows. It's the material in the pillows, not the height. This is the main reason for my low score for comfort. I barely slept for 2 of the 4 nights I was there. There was no teaspoon in the room, and it seems that teaspoons are not easily found in Penang. I had the same problem in restaurants. The Penang teaspoon are almost the same size as tablespoons. Weird.

There are a lot of construction going on at the waterfront which will eventually block the great sea view

Housekeeping. Had to call them to make up the room at 3pm. The carpet was so dirty that all of us got allergies and dust mites!!
