The Buffet breakfast was excellent , with a many varieties of food . The wardrobe light had to be repaired as it did not switch off when doors were closed. This was fixed quite quickly by the hotel staff.

The breakfast and the staff managing it especially the chefs, always good manners and accomodating. Smiling faces on everyone which is hard to find nowdays. 1. I find the air conditioning very difficult to adjust to my comfort. Its just too cold at night. And during the day the air cond shut off automatically when the balcony doors are open which is too strictly applied. Overall I think the fan in the air conditioning system is too strong even on a low fan mode. 2. I cannot access to the beaches on both sides of the hotel.

Great location, lovely rooms and excellent choice for breakfast This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the property, last time in October. So my comparison was to my previous stays. I didn’t find the staff as helpful, they seemed stretched, both on arrival and in breakfast.

The place has a charm - it's quiet and perfect. The staff is exceptional. The rooms are sparkling clean. Breakfast spread has an outstanding variety. I only wished I stayed there longer. The walking path to the heritage town was not so easy - this is not the hotels problem - but th e way roads/ traffic is organised. I was pushing a stroller and there are no proper sidewalks in the city of Penang.

The International breakfast buffet is excellent, services are prompt. The room are kind of spacious but bright, best is have seaview and very quiet. We love the infinity pool and the gym. Love the location for easy access from rest of the town. nothing

I specifically asked for a quiet room as a respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. They placed us facing the road and the hotel opposite Bayview which had a a roof top bar and a live singer who went on loud till 2am. Our room's sink was choked and we asked for a change of room. They changed us to a lower floor and a room two doors down but with the same facing. Suffice to say, i only slept after 2am each night even after sleeping with ear plugs. Terrible service from the front desk as they kinda knew it was a common complaint and didnt do any better. With its reputation, i expected better from them.

Beautiful UNESCO Heritage hotel… the heritage wing had a l’âge beautiful rooms and suites… we looked out from our balcony over the pool to the straits. It’s a historical gem and has wonderful accommodating professional staff . A favorite were the canapés served in the lovely Cornwallis room. The minibar contents are included and are replenished daily,as is breakfast. We had the choice to eat in two restaurants in the new Victory wing or in the Palm Court in the heritage wing. …but preferred the charm and smallness of the Palm court we also could swim in either pools… both are lovely. We highly recommend the E and O and would suggest the heritage wing!

The first picture of the pool, the one in ground floor by the sea, is misleading - if you are staying in Victory Annex, you are not allowed to go. The other available pool is nice, it’s just about expectations.
