Everything. The long infinity pool, the proximity to the beach, the choices at breakfast, the short walk into town. Nothing

Amazing hotel !!! The best staff , and perfect location .

The room was spacious and it seemed that every view from each balcony was breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious with a huge variety of choices for everyone! Beach, pool, and amenities were fabulous! Couldn't ask for anything more. The staff was very helpful and attentive, especially Eugenia and Minas the Bartender, in which they continuously went out of their way to insure a wonderful experience! Would highly recommend this hotel and their entire staff. Would have liked to have a shuttle service from the port to the hotel but it was only a short 20-25 minute walk.

Everything was incredible, the staff are amazing! Nothing it was perfect

It was a peaceful hotel, not "adults only" but feels like. Nobody was loud not at breakfast, not on the pool, not on the beach... something amazing and I do not know why. Making reservations for sunbeds is prohibited by written signs, but the hotel does not do anything against it. Also, I requested a quiet room (direct sea), and they gave me room in the western part, which is above the restaurant and on the top of that western part, there is loud ventilation from the kitchen. It would be much better to stay in the eastern part/wing without a restaurant, plates, cutlery and ventilation.

Overall great stay and hotel The beach is full of big stones , u cant get in easily

It’s definitely not a 5 stars hotel and doesn’t worth it’s price

variety of breakfast satisfactory but the quality was of mass production (eggs poorly fried, cold coffee only at a price from the pool bar, etc). The beach in front inaccessible from elderly people due to many slippery rocks without a path to the sea, no facility for disabled persons to the sea. The lights of the veranda were purposely removed for aesthetic reasons(!?), no hand tissues in the room, the bulb of the floor light missing, poor toiletries,..etc. No doorman when arrived, had to carry our luggage to the lobby, NO CONCIERGE, not even a map of the island available (suggested google maps!!)! Booking.com suggested an upgrade from Superior double, SEA VIEW. I did pay of the upgrade and the hotel proposed an annex building up to a small hill 120m isolated from the main building (breakfast, pool, sea), quite small with a miserable bathroom. So we didn't accept it and we were moved to a suite (?!) facing a road and noisy live music restaurant. No suite with Sea View in this hotel(!!!). Many obligatory facilities were missing and the voluntary ones were very few to characterize Alimounda as a 5star hotel. Booking com should be more diligent in that respect.

Summer relaxing vibe, cleanliness, a lot of choices at the breakfast ! Very helpful staff ! Room ventilation system could be more silent. Also, low isolated sliding window (very noising when is windy weather....)

The location of hotel and the pool area. We woke in the morning after our first night to find numerous small ants on the floor, bureau top and bathroom counter. We informed the front desk and requested a change of room and were told there was no availability. We were told the head of housekeeping would be notified. After returning late afternoon, we continued to find the small ants, just not as many. We again discussed this with the front desk and this time informed the ants are everywhere in the hotel and they would take care of the issue again. We stayed 3 nights at this hotel and kept or room “food free”. I would not recommend this hotel, due to the cost per night with the ants for free. They could sure use a good exterminator.

They accommodated our last-minute request to extend the check-out time. The high-tech TV-on-a-mirror was a "failure", as it could be used only in room blackout conditions. I am sure it cost them a lot, and it will cost much more in the future when they replace the system.

The property does not hold a 5 star rating for service and room amenities Room service coffee is served in takeaway cups. No handheld shower, just an overhead shower which in Greece a handheld is a standard given even in a 50€ room. No form of milk offered with coffee machine even after several requests. Beach Bar service at least 45 minutes to get a drink. Unacceprable‼️

The swimming pool and the dining room were OK. I would advise against staying at the Alimounda Mare hotel due to several concerning issues we encountered during our visit. Firstly, we had booked a premium room with a promised sea view and paid a premium price for it, but upon arrival, we were assigned a room with a disappointing tree obstructed view. These trees obstructed our view of the sea entirely, which was not what we had paid for. When I attempted to address this matter with the hotel's reception, I was directed to speak with George, the manager. However, my attempts to meet with George were met with evasive responses, as I was consistently told that he would "be here shortly" or "just left a few minutes ago." Furthermore, the hotel's amenities left much to be desired. The Wi-Fi service and internet connection were consistently weak and often non-functional. The room was not adequately cleaned, the water pressure in the shower was exceedingly low, the in-room safe was quite small, and the balcony lacked proper lighting, making it impossible to enjoy in the evenings for reading or relaxation. It is my belief that this hotel is better suited for large groups rather than individual guests. While its location is excellent, the management appears to be careless and unresponsive to guest concerns. If you are seeking a private vacation experience in Karpathos, I would recommend choosing a small boutique hotel with a well-regarded reputation for personalized management rather than opting for a larger hotel that fails to meet its guests' expectations. In summary, I believe that the Alimounda Mare hotel falls short of deserving a 5-star rating and would more appropriately be rated at 3 stars.
