Cheap hotel, good location near town. Bad old AC, can't handle the heat, the condensation water from the unit above drips onto the balcony below, so it is unusable. No AC in the breakfast room, no fridge, which makes breakfast unfresh…

A really nice place! My room was very clean and the location is convenient because it is close to the beach, the center and good grocery stores.

It’s in a good location. This hotel is in need of a) modernisation and very much b) a woman’s touch. It is stuck in time around 1982 and is Fawlty Towers in Greece, which is funny at first but only for about half an hour. The staff have the air of having been sentenced to run the hotel by a judge and on arriving I got the impression of: “Oh, you actually want to stay here?” The fact I did, seemed to make them very grumpy about having me as a guest and the barely concealed rudeness with which they treated me, a single male traveler from the uk, in comparison with some of the other guests more to their approval, was breathtaking at times. There were so many things that were substandard about this hotel, it would make a long and boring list to record them here, so please just trust me. Karpathos is great and don’t let this review put you off going there, but please whatever you do don’t stay at this hotel. Unless of course you like the idea of actually staying in Fawlty Towers, in which case by all means go ahead. But once the joke wears off, it’s not much fun and you’ll wish you hadn’t bothered. DON’T STAY HERE
