Pismo Lighthouse Suites

Fabulous hotel. Stayed in a newly refurbished one bedroom family suite with 2 queen beds in a separate bedroom and a king in the main room. Room was a great size for 5 people with 2 bathrooms, a fridge and microwave and a good size balcony. Really comfy beds. However, the main draw is the location... Right on the coast on the cliff top which has dramatic views but only 5 mins along the front to steps that take you right down to the sandy beach. 2 good pools and spas which the kids enjoyed and a good buffet breakfast in with the price. The freshly made waffles were a particular favourite. Also a great selection of activities available for free including table tennis and a small badminton/volley ball court. Only stopped for one night on our road trip but would have loved to have stayed longer.

Good location, rooms were nice The property advertised an activity deck with a playground. The playground was no longer there and replaced with astroturf. It was disappointing as we have a young child and the playground was one of the reasons we booked this hotel. The breakfast room was small and very busy.

The views across the coast, across to all the swimming pools and the renovations of the suites which had plenty of space. The breakfast, this is poor to say the least and no where near enough seating.

Pacific Point Resort is comprised of two properties, formerly known as Pismo Lighthouse Suites and Shore Cliff Hotel . They were evidently renovated and combined into one very recently. We had booked a suite with two King bedrooms at the Pismo Suites. The suite to which we were assigned lacked a door on one of the bedrooms, so they moved us to one with two Queen bedrooms when we complained. They compensated us for the downgrade by waiving the parking fee and the resort fees. The staff was very helpful. The rooms were clean and the amenities provided were good. Each room in both suites had an attached full bath. There was a coffeemaker, microwave and teakettle in one room and a minifridge in both rooms. The large open area outdoors had plenty of seating and firepits, Ping Pong Table, Pickle Ball etc. The downside: 1. A barn door instead of a regular lockable door in one bedroom. 2. For Breakfast, which was included, we had to cross over a boardwalk to the Shore Cliff (a minus for ADA guests). 3. There is no access from either property to the beach. 4. There was inadequate staff backup at the front desk when a queue formed for check in or check out, and one staff member had to deal patiently with the long line of guests waiting to be served.

We had a fantastic stay. Family friendly, pet friendly. The renovations are great. The breakfast is at the adjoining hotel and can get busy, but it is a short walk and was well stocked. You have access to both hotel pools and beach access was within walking distance. We look forward to staying here again.

Lovely spacious room for 5 people, excellent location. Short walk to the beach and approx 25mins walk into Pismo. Breakfast was a bit chaotic, not enough space for the people being catered for. Could barely get to any food or drink and seats were like gold dust.

It was nice experience with hotel

Location was convenient, it was right along multiple restaurants, and a few local grocery stores. It was very close to the Dinosaur Caves which is a great playground for babies and bigger kids. The hotel had plenty of parking and is a few minutes walk to the beach. The suite was great, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms which was perfect for 6-7 people. The atmosphere was calm and quiet, laid back which is a plus. Overall, we had a good stay and enjoyed our time there. Cons: * Suites had thin walls, can hear guests from neighboring suites. * Playground for kids was removed and replaced with more games for the game deck which was so disappointing because this was the main reason why we booked the place. Talk about false advertising. * Check-in/Check-out and breakfast buffet are located at the hotel next door (Shore Cliff). You have to walk and cross the bridge to eat. It wasn't a bad walk but they should have breakfast buffet at the same hotel for guests staying at Lighthouse Suites. * Pacific Market located at Lighthouse Suites had some good options but limited. It would be convenient for guests to have more food options so there isn't a need to go out all the time.

The property was very well maintained during our stay and the room service was always readily available. The beach access is not directly from the hotel, it is actually an access path that crosses adjacent properties. We were able to view the Fourth of July fireworks from our balcony with no trouble. It would have been nice of the hotel put on some kind of view party or event for the evening. Overall a very nice place with clean rooms, nice amenities and helpful staff.
