The Porto Platanias Magic Strikes Again This was our latest stay with the Porto Platanias group, and once again, they exceeded every expectation. Having previously stayed at the Village and Resort & Spa, we were kindly upgraded to the Porto Platanias Beach Luxury Selection for this trip. This brand’s commitment to hospitality is exactly why we keep coming back year after year. Shining stars of Customer Service While the entire staff is phenomenal, a massive and heartfelt thank you goes to Eleni Tsiave from Customer Support. Her kind, attentive, and incredibly efficient help made our stay seamless and stress-free. She is a true asset to the team! Gourmet perfection The food on this trip reached an entirely new level of excellence. Chef Alexandros provided us with absolutely incredible gourmet food throughout our stay. Every dish was a culinary masterpiece—beautifully presented, bursting with flavor, and expertly prepared. We looked forward to every single meal. Spotless & serene As always, the property was immaculate, the pools were pristine, and the atmosphere was perfectly relaxing. The balance of great value, luxury, and genuine warmth makes this place unbeatable. Final thoughts: We are already planning our next return. If you want spotless luxury, world-class service, and unforgettable food, look no further. Disliked: Saying goodbye. The only downside is that the vacation always feels far too short!

Very polite and friendly staff. I got upgrade and was given suite with a private pool. Location is great, right at the beach and also close to local shops, supermarkets, restaurants. Facilities are nice with many different pools and restaurants inside the resort. Two things: 1)Indoor pool is only for adults. It was not clearly mentioned on bookings website. Because it was still bit cold and my kids could not use the indoor pool. 2) The bed was far too firm in the living room of the suite, so sleep was not so comfortable

Being hassled every 5 minutes on beach by massage people when said no and the hot tub wasn't clean so couldn't use

The hotel itself is very nice although a bit rough around the edges. You can tell this place has high traffic volumes. The restaurants and bars were very nice as were the pools and beach areas. The breakfast buffet was very good. I noticed that the air conditioning in my room wasn't working. I called the front desk. They quizzed me as though this was my fault and then told me it was working. Ok, so now they think I'm an idiot. I called back and said it was still warm in my room. They sent some guy who turned the thermostat down two degrees and left. That did nothing, as the AC still wasn't working. My wife and I were warm all night long and I called back in the morning. The actual maintenance guy came out and found filters dirty and the unit tripped off. Shocking. He reset everything and said he would be back in 30 min to check it. It was more like 45 minutes and the unit was working and blowing cold. They never offered me a new room. It was I that had to request a new room and they were extremely hesitant. Since the AC was fixed, I stayed in my room because I liked it and we had already unpacked our things. When it was time to check out I asked if they were going to credit me in some way for my issues. Nope, nothing. Customer service score? ZERO.

Breakfast was amazing! Management and staff were amazing! They went out of there way to serve you!! The only think that I didn’t like was the beach and all of these people were pushing you to do a massage!! And all the chair lounges w the Mats were full of their oil!!

We spent two fantastic weeks in Platanias, and were kindly upgraded from Porto Platanias Beach Resort & Spa to the Luxury Selection. This was our fourth stay with the Porto Platanias brand — starting with Village, then Resort & Spa, and now Luxury Selection. That loyalty says it all. ? Spotless & Impressive The place is immaculate. Rooms, pool, restaurant terrace — everything sparkles, all the time. Their attention to cleanliness is almost obsessive, in the best way. ?️ Half Board Delights • Breakfast: Buffet-style, rich and varied. From light options like fruit and yogurt to hearty eggs, sausages, and cooked vegetables. Coffee is served at the table, including specialty drinks from the bar. • Dinner: À la carte on the upper terrace, with a curated menu of salads, appetizers, mains, and desserts. Every dish was delicious and beautifully presented. The sunset views and romantic evening atmosphere made it hard not to order everything — finishing it all was the real challenge. You’re on your own delicious risk. ? Heartfelt Hospitality The staff are genuinely kind and always smiling. A special thank you to Katerina at reception, who was incredibly helpful and warm throughout our stay. Her suggestions and support made a real difference. ?️ Final Thoughts Porto Platanias Beach Luxury Selection is more than a hotel — it’s a place we keep coming back to. Spotless, welcoming, and delicious in every way. Highly recommended. Honestly, it’s hard to complain. The only hiccup was courtesy of Mother Nature: for two days, the sea was wild, with big waves and a red flag warning — no swimming allowed. But credit where it’s due: the hotel clearly had a word with Poseidon, because by day three, the waves had calmed and swimming resumed. Now that’s service!

Small room no place to put clothes. Shower draining into the main area instead of shower floor. Beds and pillows very uncomfortable

Location was nice and central. AC is good We didn't like -breakfast (no egg station for your choice) -There were no amenities (coffee, tea, water heater, etc.. Upon complaining they gave us a water heater but no cups) When we complained again they got us a coffee drio machine with no coffee no filters, no cups. -we got cups from breakfast and they disappeared the next day. -Water in the fridge complimentary on first day, no repleneshing for the 5 remaining days, we had to go buy on a daily basis. -on the day of the check out, we got knocked on the door by the cleaning lady at 9am and then at 10am, saying it was a mistake -no late checkout possible -Pool are overcrowded, not enough lounge chairs -Pools are weirdly situated within the compound, the adult pool being surrounded from all sides by buildings and rooms overlooking it. Adult pool with teenagers present. -It is not a hotel per say, but just a resort open on all sides and you can bring your own drinks and food to it. -Beach is public so you always have one person asking for you to pay the umbrealla and lounges unless you have a pass from the reception (which we did) -People from outside the hotel would peddle services at the beach: massages, fruits and trinkets -our duplex doesn't even allow for privacy as the sliding door has no lock and has aeration slants in them, so if you are counting on disconnecting from the kids, that's not happening. -rooms too small -Felt like a money grab

Spa and pools. Breakfast. Cleanliness Broken AC. Not enough beach beds. Not allowed in the sea with waves for 5 days. Some staff was rude and bad tempered. Did not accommodate for food allergies.

The spa is beautiful. The breakfast is delicious. The location. The Platanias village is pretty ugly. Nothing like the pretty shops and white little houses or cute streets you find in other Greek islands. Beach is average. Not enough beach beds. No one is allowed in the water as soon as there are mild waves. Ridiculous. We couldn’t get in the water for 5 days!

Nice, modern hotel with many different pools - chilled atmosphere even when it was quite busy in July. Nice food and view from the main restaurant. Plenty of shops and restaurants around the hotel if you want/need something else.

Very friendly staff & managers. Super location between Platanias main street and best beach in the "area". Good coctails in the bar & local "stomach friendly" beer ; ). Nice food and very clean buffet restaurant with amazing seaview ! Gluten free food was well marked and multible choices ! ! Seaview from studio room balcony was stunning ( see sunrise picture from our balcony in pictures... ! very good gym, wifi worked well...I could continue this list all day ; )

We were upgraded to the adult only luxury suites upon check in. Superb breakfast! So many choices and all the foods were fresh and delicious. The views from the room and the restaurant were gorgeous. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to help us find a snorkel place when the one we attempted to book with was full the day we wanted to go. We were pleasantly surprised by the complementary beach bag, sun creams and drinks in the refrigerator. We enjoyed the serene, peaceful environment of the adult only part of the hotel. The beach area on the adults only side of the hotel was rocky and difficult to walk out in the water. We were able to walk down the beach a little ways to enter the water though.

We did not like the fact that the bathroom is on the lower level of the room. No iron in the room

Multiple pools all beautiful, Including a adults only pool and free towels with access to the beach right outside. Won't go wrong staying here, especially if you hire a car as they have free parking. There was nothing bad to say other than the flooring was hard type so it was difficult to get rid of the sand you inevitably bring back.

Great breakfast. Rooms very outdated, furniture old and creaky. Definitely needs a renovation. Uncomfortable sleep, poor mattress. Rooms were more like a 3 star. Safe and beach chairs included, strict with beach towels.
