The property was in a perfect location to explore 5th Ave from the ferry to the shops and restaurants My room was given away to another guest which cause so much stress due to me booking a room with a bathtub instead of a rainfall shower. I was told I needed to reach out to booking and nothing could be done about it after promising me it would be changed the next day. The bathroom had an odor coming from the toilet like sewage. Cleaning staff came and did something in the shower and then the toilet and the smell was gone but appeared the 4th day. The room was ready at 3pm and I’m not sure why because there were chips and eyelashes from previous guest left behind. Also my balcony door lock was broken I had to go tell them about that because it was dangerous especially with my children being with me on the trip. Someone can potentially come in with us sleep or when we didn’t occupy the room. There’s also no microwave.

Style of hotel and easy access The renovations next to us
-
The design & location Some fixtures needed to be updated in the bathroom.

Great location, close to beach and all of restraints Outdoor pool was great

The staff very friendly and helpful. The coffee shop was delicious Very nice spots and the atmosphere was great. It works for me if we have 2 keys at least, because the lights and the AC works with the keys only, if someone go out and the other person prefer to stay to take a nap or relax, the lights and the AC will be turned off. It’s a suggestion.

I booked a suite with a balcony but was not given one. Submitted a complaint. No resolution. Not noise cancelling. Can hear neighbours and outside.

Concept is cool and beautiful but poor execute. The electrical outputs where falling down. Pool wasn't so clean

They gave me a simple room, when I had booked and paid for a suite with a balcony with a the city view and jacuzzi, also the floor of the shower was clogged and the water was coming out. I did complained to them and they did moved me on the second night and yet they didn't give me the jacuzzi, only the balcony WITHOUT A VIEW

Location Pool was small and dirty , terrible smell in bathroom

Because this hotels location you will hear loud music late into the night, small disco connected to hotel & across the street. Bring earplugs if your a light sleeper, otherwise know that this location is a great one, therefore you pay for all of what comes with that vibe, including the noise.

Nice place EXTREMELY LOUD at night, floor was dirty

It was very central on Quinta Ave! Perfect If you’re looking for a in between spot to go down either side of the Ave. staff was incredibly friendly, helpful and flexible. Cleaning staff is patient and really does a great job. The little things. Like making the bed decorative or making small roses out of the TP is just a step beyond! Loved it! The only thing I didn’t like which was a minor thing, was the sinks were a bit leaky. Other than that. Amazing experience.

The biggest advantage of this Hotel is its location, it's just in the tourist center, 5th ave. You can enjoy all attractions (bars, beaches, shops, clubs, whatever you want), but it is causing the biggest issue at the same time. Also, I liked the design; it was nice, but quite worn out. The staff was nice and welcoming. The pool zone is just ok, nothing special. The main disadvantage is the absence of soundproofing. There are a couple of nightclubs around, and it will be hard to slip until 1 am. But it was mentioned in the description and other feedbacks to this property. So, I was aware. Another moment, I met only one person at the reception who spoke English; others tried to help me via a translator app, which is nice and totally ok. But I guess it quite limits the value of assistance. Parking is available for addtional 250 pesos/night, but you can park on the street and must pay 10 pesos/hour from 10 am till 10 pm except on state holidays. Basically, you can pay with COINS ONLY (at any parking machine). But what I have discovered is that you can use the official Mueve Ciudad application to park only or by pre-paid parking cards in Plaza Pelicanos (at 10th ave) if you don't have enough coins. I would be happy to receive this info at the reception desk when I ask about car parking.

The location was ideal, it was at the north end of the walk. Just outside the hotel there was plenty of places to shop and eat. It was busy without feeling overwhelmingly. Overall, this hotel is worth the stay. I would stay here again. Our first room assignment looked like it was broken into, we straight away showed the clerk and they changed our room. However, the room was not repaired all the time we were there. The room was ideal, it served the purpose. The only thing was the layout, upon opening the room door you can see the toilet and shower area, and since the wall and bathroom door were glass, opening the front door gave a straight shot view of someone showering or using the toilet. The swimming pool was great, the only thing is that it needs to be sealed properly, the pool wall showed signs of deterioration and the water needed to be filtered. The pool definitely needs to be resealed. The shower wasn't the best, but it did heat up so there's that. The provided shampoo, conditioner and body wash was generic. Smelled like wine.

Everything was great, if you are the kind of person that you cant sleep because the noise, this wont be the perfect stay for you. Hotel its located right ln 5th ave on top of one superbusy bar and across the street from another. Excellent location, price, friendly staff. I dont have any issues with the noise, make the hotel perfect for me.

The location and the good vibes. The room didn’t have sound proof windows

NOTHING!!! Shame on Booking for putting this hotel as first suggested options in their website. The place it’s old, doesn’t have an elevator (you’re dragging your suitcases through four stories of stairs if you’re all the way to the top at 35 C degrees). The most expensive room oversees the Quinta Avenida which is the party and focus of life of Playa del Carmen. But they don’t have proper sound isolation. Even with the windows close you cannot sleep, let me repeat, you literally CANT SLEEP because of the noise outside until 4 AM and that’s on a Monday night!!!! The staff is either uninterested or plain rude. The room is bait and switch massively. The pictures doesn’t correspond to reality. Their pool is mediocre at best and their pictures make it look like paradise. The place is dirty and the room didn’t even had a blanket. You need AC to survive and yet they don’t provide with a cover for the cold to be able to sleep unless you ask for it. I had to ask for toilet paper because they just left half a roll left. You have your own hot tub which fills itself misteriously in the middle of the night without turning on and the jets are rusty and the jacuzzi is peeling and broken. There a hammock in middle of the room you can’t unattach a makes it annoying to move around. The security safety of the most expensive room is broke. So you can’t lock yourself from the inside which makes is sketchy. Even more so after reading the reviews on other places (because here in booking there’s none of them) where several people complain exactly in the most expensive room with the tub and the corner view that the staff stole from inside their security safe in the room. Everyone can enter the hotel since there’s no doors to prevent strangers to wonder around the property and anyone drunk idiot can come into your place of rest. Their plugs for charging besides the bed didn’t work properly (have evidence in video and pic of all of this).

Great location to explore Playa del Carmen as well as environs. Transportation is easily accessible and tour companies are close by. The area is very safe and vibrant also. This is a great value for money accommodation.
