The price, the staff, the location It was dirty, it smells bad, no hot water, vets bad soundproof, we could hear all the conversation in the hallway, only one window and it gives directly to the hallway that everyone can have access to. The bed was hard like a rock

A/C filters were dirty

Location and staff. Water in the shower goes in every direction, but down. Lots of limescale on it, it is not maintained good enough. Toilet wasn’t flushing and it took a full day to repair. Wifi wasn’t working in the room, so we were told to use the router from the next room, but the connection is terrible. Mattresses are hard. No fridge in the room. Pool does not seem maintained/cleaned.

Rooms are super small, dark, shower was broken. It can't cost $85 usd per night for such a quality.

Location. Clean room Bed was hard! Maintenance was needed a bit worn out…towels etc..,rooftop pool

The location and the room was spacious and clean, however shower takes a bit of time to get hot water and the water goes all around the floor when u showering It says late check out included in the price until 1pm but they ask u to leave by 12pm or u pay an extra 200$ pesos for each additional hour, it has to be a specific information that u need to pay extra for the late check out but it doesn’t say that when u book the room

Nothing didn't stay as the room was not the one I booked . After getting checked into the room , the first thing i noticed was that there was no balcony as in my booking I told staff I had booked a room with a balcony and was told that was because the pictures were wrong, even do they listed the balcony in the room amenities. I was told I wouldn't be charged as they did not have the room option I booked. But just after I left, they still charged my card for the taxes for the booking Nothing didn't stay as the room was not the one I booked . .The front desk guy was very informative and looked out for our best interest..the only downside is no private parking since it is really close to the 5th avenue

Stains on almost all of the towels, blankets, and pillow cases

Very cute, quaint hotel in PDC! The initial room I booked was quite small, but very comfortable and fairly clean. After deciding to stay a few more days, the front desk staff upgraded my room, for a fee of course! I'm not sure if it was more than it would have been vs booking.com, nevertheless, it worked out! The new room with double beds was very spacious and way more comfortable than the single bed room. It had a kitchen with a mini fridge and microwave, stove, dishes and utensils. Overall, it was a pleasant stay! The hotel, management and housekeeping staff, were all very nice and the wifi worked great! The rooms contained a few minor stains on the furniture and the television repairman had an attitude!

I had a fantastic one-night stay at Marvic Hotel in Playa del Carmen. The room was clean and comfortable, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the location was perfect for exploring the area. Highly recommend for a short stay! The room was a bit dimly lit.

hotel was clean. Good location. the pictures that advertise the rooftop are false, rooftop has no bar, it's in very bad shape. pool is OK. the apartment has no fridge, so you are trapped there without anything except water. several things don't work, the shower is in horrible state. you can hear music until midnight from the surrounding bars. it's certainly not 4 star hotel.

Pros: location (close to avenida quinta), new build (fairly new building) Cons: room w/ no windows, jail feel, extremely small. misleading pool pics. not really a hotel to be honest - more like a new built condo building w/ many apartments (no common area, place to eat, etc). Fine if you are going out in Playa and just need a place to sleep, NOT suitable for more than 1-2 nights max or if you plan to spend any time in the property. Oh yeah, internet not working anywhere.

Staff were amazing and extremely friendly and helpful. The foot top bar was not open at all, which was a bit of a let down. The root top pool itself is nice and a great place to hangout. We were able to bring in outside beverages (no glass) and enjoy them with our feet in the pool. We booked a suite with a balcony and we could see glimpses of ocean view, while still being close enough to 5th Ave strip. This end of 5th Ave is quieter but still lovely, just has less pushy vendors. As LGBTQ travellers we felt comfortable here. I wish we had a mini fridge or something to keep drinks cold.

Location is great Room size (room + kitchenette) Bed size The smell in the bathroom is terrible WiFi connection sucks, so if you’re thinking to work from the room, not possible or any other area in the hotel Staff is not that friendly or helpful The pool area is wack Cleaning can improve, specially because of the sand Mattress can be a bit more comfortable I general looks depressing the building and the rooms

The location! The cleanliness of the room was really poor and the sheets had blood on them and the kitchen was absolutely filthy!! Absolutely disgusting

The location is good; close to 5th avenue, so central. The sitting area of our suite was well-decorated. Other than that, I’m struggling… Curt staff, hard beds, poor Wi-Fi, no bottled water provided in rooms, questionable cleanliness of bathrooms, a temperamental door lock (locked out of bedroom for nearly an hour), and toilets without toilet seats. But most of all, having 420 pesos deducted from an unexpected deposit that was taken upon arrival because my son’s girlfriend got makeup on a face towel.
