The hotel room, Pool and friendly staff. Very bad room service. Takes 45-60 minutes to bring a pot of hot water or tea/coffee or anything. When ordered food previous evening for 6AM breakfast, they bring the food at 635am just 25 minutes before our tour bus arrived that too after we had to call them. The food served almost same dishes all three nights and day we stayed. The beach was empty because it was smelly due to pile of seaweeds rotting along the beach and water was black in color.

The resort is fantastic. Our kids had a great time, and my wife and I had time to relax and recharge, and yet share wonderful moments with our two children. Selecting the restaurants ahead of time was hard , and it would be great to have a way to select activities ahead of time and being reminded. There is so much going on, and sometimes not close, that you really have to check the watch which is not easy when you are in the pool the all time :)

Beautiful property. The beach was not clean and the water was muddy.

quite a nice hotel. decent food. 50% of staff were good but many didn't care unfortunately. room was very nice. view and beach was great. food was decent. some dishes out signed others. we had a HUGE problem with our keys. 7 times they locked us out of the rooms. having to walk to the front desk every time. a couple times this was after midnight. when we were assured it was fixed we went for a couples massage. our kids rooms they were locked out and couldn't get a hold of because we were in the spa. they were teen agers but couldn't get in to their rooms. they ended up comping the spa services but it was an absolute pain. 7 times in 9 days.... no rhyme or reason.

This hotel is fantastic, we really had a great time and a great rest. The food, the pool, and beach were all great. In October, they decided it was the best time to repaint the entire hotel. It was pretty annoying; my kids touched the paint at least twice, and we would smell the paint throughout most of the stay. Also, the Aquazone pool was partially closed for painting. The hotel isn't doing enough against mosquitoes, at least in October. It was pretty bad. Everything else was great.

Our pool service area server was Laura and she was amazing. We cannot say enough about her. She was extremely busy but always met us with a smile and day two didn't need to ask what we were wanting as she already new, It was mine and my daughters birthday while we were there and they couldn't do enough to make our day special, We are so grateful for the amazing service. Luis the pool concierge was truly amazing as well. Made our stay very memorable. The air conditioning was a llittle loud and woke us up a few times and we did mention that the fridge in our room was not working however not got fixed. The room was well appointed however.

I liked the hammock section on the adults only part along with the beach, which was very clean and tidy. I thought the property was old and run down. During our stay, repairs were being made but these seemed to be only surface level. The hotel needs a complete remodel as it feels and appears old and outdated.

    Very good

The bartenders look at your wrist all the time and if you were not premium wristband then they sometimes ignore you for the person that does have it, not all but the majority. Difficult to put a donut bar in the entrance of our room, and we were not able to take it because we were not premium, having 2 kids of 4 and 5 is quite difficult to ignore it and not have a donut, so a couple of cries were part of the trip.

We upgraded to Nikté and we had a wonderful and personalized attention by our concierge Emmanuel Baraza. He changed our minibar to have only the 3-4 kind of drinks we needed for our family of 4. He would come into the room when we were out to set up games for our boys (5 and 7 years old) a couple of days, he also brought another day a nice artisan handmade Mexican style backpack for each with a small kids and environment friendly sunscreen and insect repellent. Another day, he left 1 stuff animal (axolotls) for each kid with information about such an unique animal who lives only in a certain area in México. Also, we had a visit to an open and a close cenote with our upgrade and was THE BEST activity to do with our kids. There, we cliff jumped to the cenote and go down to it in a zipline. It was REALLY FUN! There was no A/C anywhere. The funny part is that when we asked about it, the staff said the AC was running and the temperature was fine. LOL. I love hot weather, and I handle it well, but the truth is that many guests (and my 7-year-old and my husband included) ate in the restaurants at the resort with t-shirts soaked with sweat. My husband did not like to be sweating everywhere in the resort (except for the area of the elevators on each floor and the rooms). We did not enjoy much else, but we kind of understand that it happens: there are a huge number of Coatíes living in the resort, mostly on roofs, under bushes, and also under the Balinese beds around the pool. They are a type of raccoon that would eat anything you leave by your towels for a second. As soon as you look to the other way, they would jump and eat it. You literally could not order food at the pool and stop eating for a bit and go swim at the pool. I saw coatíes going into beach bags and purses too if they happened to smell something that may be food. It was funny at first but annoying when you had some fruit to snack on here and there while swimming and they would constantly steal it.

The staff are very friendly, especially Joel, the waiter in the Naos buffet. The pools are nice and friendly, not crowded, and they allow you to eat and drink in the pool. The hotel is not as good as it was a few years ago and everything requires an update. They charge $20 per hour for a late checkout. Visitors from outside are not allowed to visit you, even if it's just to sit and talk. One of my friends came to visit and they treated her poorly, making it difficult for her to leave. The maintenance is okay but not great. We had a room with a connected door to another room with a very noisy family, which made it feel like they were in our room. Make sure you don't have any connected door. The food is okay; you won't be hungry, but don't expect chef restaurant-level quality.
